Where in the world is...
I wonder why in a multi-state lottery that the heads of the nationwide jackpot games chose to allow states to release exact location at their own pace but release which state has the winner within hours after the drawing. Me thinks this has something to do with a part of the agreement with the states to provide them with some type of power over the games rather than allow one larger entity to oversee and control all aspects of the jackpot games. We'll take care of the drawing and letting the

Newbie has some questions.
Welcome Fishy, as a few other members said Hot Lotto is a top multi state game after PB and MM. I like it cause it's only played in small population states and JP winning odds are 1 in 10.9M. It also uses a random number generator to draw the winning numbers unlike the other big multi-states that use the mechanical drum and ball technique. I've personally had better success in identifying patterns and trends with the RNG game and have won the lower tier prizes more frequently than the average od

Finally...WIN FOR LIFE
How often do people win, you ask? Win for Life was a multi-state game that was replaced with the $2 Decades of Dollars and the new game finally had a jackpot winner a year later. Virgina still offers both games, probably because there were few jackpot winners when it was multi-state. The jackpot while small compared to the other multi-state games, gives the winner a $13,000 check every three months for the rest of their lives.

Could We Use Another Big Game Lottery??
I'll bet some of the same ideas for multi-state lottery games being discussed here were discussed at MUSL meetings. MUSL currently has six multi-state games including MM and PB. Hot Lotto is played in 14 states and in D.C., Wild Card 2 is played in four less populated states, 2by2 is played in three states, and MegaHits is a slot machine type game played in casinos in three states. Those four games all have smaller jackpots but it still gives the players the chance to win a nice jackpot with

Second Chance Drawing For $5-10 Million.
Wow..... we have the same exact $2 game in NH (same name, except it is pick 4 numbers out of pool of 35, and 1 out of a pool of 35). But our multi-state game is different as they award 100 randomly picked ticket #'s $100 every week from our tri-state area automatically. (no need to enter your losing tickets on line). Have come close many times....but no cigar.

Another Reason To Not Live In California
Although it's a multi-state game, like all multi-state games, the only thing that is really shared between the states in the jackpot pool. All the lower-tier prizes are basically an in-state game, with payouts coming out of the money collected within that particular state. That's why California can have pari-mutuel prizes, while all the other states use the standard fixed payout structure. California has a state law that prohibits fixed payouts. I have seen this work out the other way a
