Yes and now that I've given it my best shot and only matched 3 a few times for $2 I'll be moving on. PB and MM jackpots are higher now and I'll start playing one of them again since I've had better luck winning small prizes of $2-$10 with them. I'll probably try OCL again in a few weeks if no one still haven't won it by then.

I don't know much about people who've won jackpots, though I'm familiar with anecdotes about a few over the years. I have sometimes imagined myself winning a jackpot, though I don't think about it much. But I'm a member of the Daffy Duck faction of LP members. The faction that thinks about it and talks about it are members of the Scrooge McDuck faction, of which I'm not a member.

Coin Toss, The vast majority of Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots are won with a single ticket. But you are correct, there is the possibility of having to share the jackpot with another winning ticket. I take care of that possibility by buying two shares in the group. That way, even if there are two winning tickets, my share of the split jackpot is still life changing.

Tony I feel your pain and share part of your sentiment....New York AGAIN!!! I am glad it was a large pool that won it though because instead of it being some huge amount of money for one person, it is a fairly pedestrian $2.5million after taxes...heck I would be richer than several of them combined if I just won my little state lottery right about now come this Saturday. Another thing to consider is how many people with a $5 ticket end up having the first line as their major winner. Not sure if having just a $1 ticket would give you the same first line or not though. I remember there's been a few jackpots I've read about that ended up having the first line be their jackpot winner. Personally I put $4 into tonights draw with 2 lines with Power Play, as well as $2 towards the Texas Lotto.

for the people that dont understand here is what i mean i feel like if i could slowly progress from a 100 win to a 1,000k win i could atleast say its possible to win anything higher than 250 bucks.I have bought over 70 rolls last 2 years and i only won 250 in one ticket.I really wonder if there is 5k winners or so.If i win a 5 atleast i know its possible to win a jackpot.WHat the ny lottery does is clever on scratch offs they use the same codes for a jackpot winner that they would use for a losi

Some small towns in Florida only have 1-3 retailers and ive noticed some big jackpots coming from there. I like to play at odd locations whenever I can. but in Fla you are more likely to win if you play at a Publix or 7-11 most winners come from those places. when i was in mass. i noticed every dam business sells lotto. even some restaurants i went to had lotto.

Florida = Good (below average if im honest. I would of expected a 5 figure prize by now) Statistically its one of the best in the country given odds and jackpots. But the return is not as good. I heard some states pay up to 75% back. Not Fla I think we only get 40% back.
