Take5 isnt fair
That is the reason why I play almost exclusively the 3-ball and the 4-ball. In most states, the prize is half the odds.
In Mega Millions, the odds of matching 4+0 are around 1 in 15,000 (greater than the odds of winning the top prize playing 4-ball), but the prize is only $150 (less than the prize of winning a 3-way box playing 3-ball). I feel that Mega Millions should be paying out at least $5000 for this.

Claiming Anonymously and keeping your winnings! (a paranoid approach)
I think you broke the record for the longest post EVER on LP. Over the course of the next few weeks, I'll try to finish reading this non ending
epic post about trusts and lawyers. (Which all belong chained together at the bottom of the deepest ocean).
Will your subsequent post's be even lengthier?
Sincerely concerned,
Paranoid

Here's what the Georgia Lottery had to say about claiming that state's prizes anonymously
Thank you for contacting the Georgia Lottery Corporation (GLC).
While Georgia Lottery winners are not required to have a press conference or take a photograph, many feel that it enhances the winning experience. The Georgia Lottery Corporation is required, by statute, to comply with Georgia s Open Records Act. Pursuant to the Georgia Open Reco

i won last year... what will my tax return look like?
IRS Tax Tip 2010-34
Gambling winnings are fully taxable and must be reported on your tax return. Here are the top seven facts the Internal Revenue Service wants you to know about gambling winnings.
Gambling income includes but is not limited to winnings from lotteries, raffles, horse and dog races and casinos, as well as the fair market value of prizes such as cars, houses, trips or other noncash prizes. Depending on the type and amount of your winnings, the payer might provide you with a

NYGameIndex
I don't believe it matters, I usually wheel the rb's for the combos, sometimes I combo each box separately, sometimes together, depending how many digits there are. This is last week's index (I havent changed it because of the pattern of numbers).....when I wheel them, they may be in box order or combo, (one has to choose their play method of combos). Also I like to find the combo in the rb plus the index and touching digits, to me if you can confirm it in both it has a better chance of hitting.

Maryland Mega Millions winners claim prize anonymously
Well I think they had to disclose some general information about them or their money would have been tied up in a lawsuit with the McDonald workers. This was an unusual situation due to our friend with the pink swine hat so some creative modifications had to be made. If they were 100% anonymous, people would think the McDonalds woman won it and too many problems would have continued. And it is not the same thing as having your name visible to every stranger. While people in house may have a gues

Choosing How Much Money To (Try And) Win...
There's a couple different kinds of occasional players. There's the type that aren't in the habit of playing the lottery like we are, so it doesn't occur to them to go out and buy a ticket unless a record is being approached and the hype machine kicks in. Either that or they just happen to be at the gas station or the grocery store or wherever, they see the lottery terminal flashing the current jackpots, and they decide to throw down a couple of dollars. It's not that people would turn down a sm

Anyone else find the jump in MM j/p surprising?
Not at all. They aren't very concerned with what happens in a small number of drawings at minimum or low jackpots. They have 104 drawings per year and they're trying to find the balance that makes them the biggest yearly profit. Wouldn't you be happy to work the first week of the month for free in exchange for getting paid 25% more the 2nd and 3rd week and 75% more the fourth week? How about if you only had to work the first week for free 2 months of the year? That's about what PB is going for.
