I can accept the possibility that some people may be able to turn a profit on a pick 3 game by figuring out which numbers are most likely to be drawn and by knowing how to play the possibilities, but I find it exceedingly unlikely that jackpot games could be cracked in such a way. Because the low-level payouts are low compared to the odds, since the payouts are biased toward the jackpot, where the odds and pay level out, and because jackpots are extremely hard to win,

The odds of PowerBall and Mega Millions are huge and that's what makes the jackpots grow and because of the odds, it's unlikely there will be more than 3 winners on one drawing. For the same dollar bet one lucky player can win multi-millions compared to winning $500 playing pick-3. Many states held raffles over the holidays and several players became millionaires. That's probably as close as you'll get to what you're suggesting.

I'm pretty sure the majority of the jackpots were won mostly on $5 - $10 playslips, considering $10 is the highest they go... Even is you tell the clerk you want $10 bux worth, many of times they hand you 2 $5 slips. So your assumption is correct

He is no expert. He has never won Florida Lotto (odds 1:23 million). What he has won is a couple of Fantasy 5 (odds 1:377 thousand) and a split Mega Money Jackpots (1:3 million) and a couple of smaller scratch off ticket prizes.
