I had posted the thread link in an attempt to avoid redundancy, but you came up with some interesting responses. JKING, I'm assuming the numbers you posted are from a 6/49 lottery? In another forum, the delta method was proposed, and a member came up with the number of possibilities of each delta in that draw. A delta of 5 had 44 possibilities in that draw, and a delta of 40 would give you over 700,000 possibilities (I'm doing this from memory rather than going back and looking at the post). Any
