Arizona Lottery winners could soon remain anonymous
I don't think so. It's not like the states are passing bills that REQUIRE winners to stay anonymous. They just have the choice. Idaho doesn't require a press conference, yet most winners do it. Some people love to be in the spotlight. Let them. And let the people who want to be anonymous win their own way. There will still be plenty of winners stories, some with names attached, some without but interesting just the same.

Arizona Lottery winners could soon remain anonymous
First of all I am not a sheep, secondly I have never had a discussion with you. Last time I checked I am entitle to my opinion and I think a jackpot winner should have that right to remain anonymous if he/she or they choose.
Now the reason I want to remain anonymous is because I have two teenage boys that I want to protect. There have been to many stories of nutjobs threatening to kidnap children of jackpot winners.

I agree Dr, lets keep them anonymous forever! However, I'm glad that NJ is doing something (now come on Powerball!).

$216 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot rolls again
With that kind of money you couldn't remain anonymous, you would be on the Forbes's list of billionaires.

Millions in lottery winnings go unclaimed each year
First of all you have to deal with specifics and stay focused with the condition and situation that you have. In this case, CA, a non-anonymous state published an image of a purported lottery winner and the presumed fault with the CA lottery for such an action.
The winner's handbook is not the entire lottery rules. It is however based on aspects of the Lottery rules. The winners handbook is a public relations maneuver by the lottery to keep players hopes high, though it is based on the lotter

Clerks Changing Your Mind
I would give the clerk something but anonymous... I would mail them a cashiers check in a white envelope and say thanks.

WOW...Can you believe this??
there are very few states in the US that will let winners claim anonymous. AZ has public disclosure laws.
