Should lottery winners share with colleagues?
I don't know what was being smoked when this article was being written, but I don't want any.....
If these people or anyone who has a large volume of money decide to give it away or share with anyone it is their business not ours.
I would call this a guilt article. One of those articles that tries to make you feel guilty for having when there are so many that have not.
This article also goes so far to hint at how the money could be used and what a person may be experiencing and why.

Winning the lottery
UGH! Once again just a little too late in my updating to edit successfully. _
As the article also mentions that he had been charged with attempted murder a couple months earlier from an incident where Ralph Stebbins stabbed (hmmm a Stebbins stabbin) his daughter's boyfriend. Here's another story to follow that up from 2007.

And another Stebbins related story from earlier this year and an editorial about it:

Lottery dream shattered for N.C. couple
Yes, csfb, I realize that's the case. It's like writing a check. The numbers need to match what is written out beneath Five hundred sixty-three and 25/100 dollars after you fill in $563.25
But my comment was in response to the fact that nobody seemed to notice they missed a tiny spot until the ticket was put under a microscope. As others have written, can you imagine getting your photo taken with that big check and celebrating, only to find out you didn't win? I need to read this art

Lotto tickets lead cops to murder suspect
I agree with KY Floyd that something is indeed missing from the article or it's written poorly. A store would have too many fingerprints and DNA for testing unless they already had a suspect and just running the numbers played wouldn't lead the police to a murder suspect.
This is what I figured when I read the article, but it's an assumption. Badger wrote that DNA was taken from his betting slips, which makes sense to me. If they looked up all the numbers bet that day, stored in the lot

Statistics around the balance of even/odd and small/big numbers

You have completely missed Don Catlin's point, and the reason I referenced his article. You apparently didn't notice that I used the word indirect when comparing Odd/Even and Unique Digit Count observations, to Set Summations. If you can't see that these numerological patterns produce frequency distributions which are analogous, I can't help you. Even if there were material differences among the distributions, it would be of no consequence.

You call that proof? Give me a break. I already debunked that failed attempt by you to show that as proof, but you never addressed the issues because you probably didn't take the time to read it. You won't read it because you're afraid to hear the truth.
I'm not going down that road all over again. It's futile to argue with the likes of you. You have horse blinders on and will never take them off.
Now read what I posted the first time and maybe you can address the issues this article point

Bill banning lottery courier services passes Indiana House and Senate
Completely agree. I was telling Todd that as a journalist I felt my eyes roll to the back of my head seeing the word rigging in the latest NYT article. This is an interesting topic, and I absolutely love the discussion surrounding it, but I cannot stand the misconceptions and misinformation when it comes to couriers especially when a newspaper like the NYT has so many readers and such a great deal of influence.
Bonus - the subheader in said article goes like:

You know Michigan lotto is shady and doesn't follow a pattern when Sully starts posting all different kinds of numbers . I'm so used to seeing your pair rundowns. I don't blame you, it's so hard to predict what Michigan Lotto will play, they're all over the place trying to change up their patterns.
There's an article I read that I have to find, this one guy cracked the code/pattern Michigan was using and used to hit thousands all the time. They ended up changing the way they did their numbe

Someone needs to console me now...
You're being downvoted mostly because you're factually wrong. The article says the winning ticket was a quick pick. Direct quote from article:
His winning numbers were purchased with a Quick Pick, he emphasized.
God picked for me, he said, pointing upwards. So, thank you. He laughed and elicited an amused applause from the spectators.
You're also being downvoted for being insufferable.

Winner of $95 million Lotto Texas lottery jackpot gamed the odds to win
I don't know, but I thought I had seen somewhere that RNG QPs do not repeat any combination until every combination has been picked once. That doesn't take into consideration the players who are picking their own numbers that will duplicate combinations that RNG may have given out. However, as I researched this win, I found one article that said the winning ticket was self picked numbers. So if cards had been filled out to cover all of the combinations the logistics of that are amazing if the ca
