IRS scammed with losing lottery tickets
I am curious how they would treat a lottery pool? I run one for years. It was nothing for us as a group to have over $100 dollars per drawing (2 drawings a week) when the prizes were high. At the end of the year, I would have a substantial amount of losing tickets. One year someone asked me if they could have them. I told them yes, they were as much his as anyone else in the group. I only kept them if anyone wanted to check through them again for whatever reason. At the end of the year I gene

Texas couple both dead after argument over $500 lottery ticket win
This is insanity. From other news reports, these two knew each other from Childhood, but it would seem their love or friendship was worth less than $500.00 ** There is a scene in the movie The Equalizer where Denzel politely asks the Russian Mobster on the East Coast to Take Nine Grand in exchange to release a girl from prostitution. This Big Nose refuses and he ends up dying with the rest of his henchmen in a room. Denzel's last words to this guy as he lay there in a pool of B..were You shoul

Predictions for the wager with ROI in mind
Time frame should be part of waging strategy, which is very much subjective. I normally set my time frame to the prize target (str8 or nothing)/#picks. The question is, are you prepared to lose X amount at end of the time frame?. Now to the question of RNGs/ dropping balls States, am not bothered by both, I subscribe to the event been random. I had a situation where local outlet told me 'I could not wage certain picks' because those picks were sold out, it was a RNGs State, but have won several

Does anyone know if there is one central mainframe for pb and mm?
Really no more Mainframes per say. Data Centers will run what's called a SAN Array, this can easily support 1000 SAS drives ran through a Fiber Channel switch. This can be ran from 1 desktop, running virtual software like VMWare that controls a cluster of physical boxes, say 5 Dell 2900 rack servers. If 1 server crashes the other 4 can pool resources, until U replace the box.

Dr Phil - My Husband's Big Lottery Win is Ruining Our Marriage
I came across an episode of Dr. Phil that came out at the end of February about a couple who won the lottery. Lots of drama. I thought some of you might be interested. The epsisode is about 40 minutes long. http://www.drphil.com/shows/show/2360 Jodie says ever since her husband, Edwin, won $1.66 million in a lottery pool two years ago, he has become angry, distant and secretive and their marriage has gone downhill fast. Edwin says he thinks Jodie is only with him for the money. Can thi

How often do winning tickets have the same Power & one of five numbers?
January 10th - Powerball March 10th Mega Millions Just go to the official websites and review past winning combinations. I don't know of anyone who tracks this. The 5 balls are pulled from one pool and the bonus balls from another. So this can occur at anytime.

What is the longest stretch you have played the same numbers for either MM/PB?
I am one of those birthday-day/year/age players. So I have a pool of family numbers (The numbers I use for Maddog's games are a subset)- and I have been playing a different set each year for 40 years? (maybe a smidge longer). But each year I get a new master set for the year. So I suppose that means 12 months would the the longest stretch with the same numbers (but they are different for MM vs PB)
