A Question for Data Folks
Illinois midday drawing airs at 12:40 p.m. and the evening drawing airs at 9:22 p.m. Before Illinois allowed players to purchase Powerball tickets, I bought a Little Lotto (now Lucky Day Lotto) ticket at 9:10 p.m. I don't know if this is still true on days when there isn't a Powerball drawing. I tried getting a Powerball ticket shortly before 9 p.m. one time, and the clerk told me the machine shut down at 8:30 p.m. So I don't know if that time was just for the Powerball game, or for all games

you are so right about saving and looking at your old indexes Tj ! the 121 showing straight on it . And we have both talked about watching the longest out pairs to return again . That 12 pair was on the longest out pairs list and hit as 132 on the 5-30 evening drawing . and tonite it showed again . Another pair the 19-91 was also on that list and hit as 091 on the 5-7 evening drawing .That 19-91 has not yet returned in the evening drawing and is fast approaching the 30 day mark . That 186 combo

Lotto odds and hitting the big one
So I keep thinking how much does it take to win the big one? You hear all the time of people who spend alot on just one drawing and never hit it and some who spend $1 or so and hit it big on any drawing. I started playing the regular colorado lotto $65 a drawing thought that would do ok with the odds being at least 1:5,000,000. Doing a quick idea of what it would take for me to win. So what do ya'll think how much is the lucky amount for a game you play or is it just a little here and there? Als

Saving Lottery Lines To Increase Your Chances Of Winning A Jackpot Without Spending More Money.
If you're buying QPs, you'll never know if you missed hitting the jackpot on drawings you're sitting out. So it shouldn't make any difference if you sit out nine straight and purchase 10 QPs on for the tenth drawing. Besides very few drawings produce jackpot winners and unless you have knowledge of which drawing will hit one, you're always taking a chance and the chances of one ticket winning a jackpot (1 in over 175 million) are the same in every drawing. Your post summarizes the main

Quick Picks Just Plain Suck Sometimes
Although any numbers are possible to come up because the balls of the Powerball lottery are drawn completely randomly, I was very disappointed in one of the rows I was given on a QP for tomorrow's drawing. It was a waste of $2. The odds coming from the history of all previous Powerball draws since 1997 go against this collection of numbers. My first # is 40... There has never been a drawing where the lowest drawn ball is above 39. What luck! Ugh! Who knows, maybe this drawing will be the first t

Anyone else find the jump in MM j/p surprising?
MM $12M starting jackpot is a joke. After thousands of pages discussing the PB and MM jackpots, you still don't understand it. The current $20 million prize is an annuity based on the cash value of $14.3 million from the $25 million wagered on the last drawing combined with what is expected to be wagered on the next drawing. Neither game has a money tree so their starting jackpots are based on expected ticket sales. MM had larger sales following the last run, but it was expected because sal

Will Powerball roll over?
Starting when the MM jackpot was $241 million on March 20, ticket sales of that drawing and the next three totaled $1.03 billion, but $652 million of that was wagered on last drawing. The final cash value of the jackpot was $473.6 million. When the jackpot was $72 million, ticket sales were $23 million. Ticket sales only gradually increased and didn't take off until the jackpot reached $363 million. If players don't believe the jackpot will be hit on any particular drawing, why are they playi

How high will ticket sales be for tonights MM Drawing
I see no one took a guess. Its to early yet to see what the amount was. So whats anyones guess for Fridays drawing? Checking back on past sales theres been 2 times whan sales went over $ 200 million. $310 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot in rare territory
Oh here and there. Some from google searches looking for the press releases when winners are announced. For the last 7ish years you can get alot of the info from Todd's other site USA Mega (for example Mega Millions drawing detail history is http://www.usamega.com/mega-millions-history.asp). Powerball's official site has the cash option down to the penny in their winner's stories section. When you look at the final sum it's often off by as much as a few million from what is advertised pre-drawin

New York Dream Team 1/1/2012 - 1/31/2012
Something to consider for tonite's drawing . There have been NO hits from the 0-1-2 group in the last four days in the evening drawing . I like the # 8 to return tonite in the evening drawing . So matching the # 8 with the 0-1-2 group gives these pairs to play tonite . 80x - 81x -82x . The 80 pair is on the Sat. to Sat. chart and should be played with the numbers on there . And the 81 pair is on both charts and should be played with the numbers on both charts . Also the 78 pair with the # 0 and
