Mega Millions ponderously reaches $280 million
A thirteen million dollar rollover on a $280M annuity jackpot. Paula Otto says they're satisfied. Well, I know why I don't play MM very often. They nearly doubled the odds against winning the jackpot while announcing that they were improving the odds, doublespeak, in typical lottery fashion. If you reduce the value of a product, you should not expect sales to go up, but they did, and they're satisfied. Wow.

Powerball has been up $10 million last two drawings
PB increases a minimum of $10 million annuity each time it rolls. Obviously, fewer people play when it resets after someone wins a jackpot. 10x powerplay is available when the jackpot is less than $150 million. They choose the powerplay randomly by RNG.

$314 million jackpot puts Powerball back in spotlight
Yes, I take advantage of the icons that Todd provides. Thank You. I aim for the bulls eye. Like in darts. If you are between the ages of 18 - 40 you should consider the 30-year Annuity. Especially when the jackpot sets records. Alas, it is the Lump Sum for me. Mr. Groppo, I hope that the Irish fairy of good luck sprinkles her dust upon you and your numbers.

California 1/3 Billion Dollar Powerball Ticket Lost?
They are already required to take installment payments I believe. I think the Florida winners had to claim within 60 days if they wanted the lump sum, but that's based on Florida lottery rules that only allow the annuity if you wait longer before claiming. I believe California has no such rule, so the IRS rule is the only one that matters, and the IRS allows 60 days from the date you file the claim. There could be any number of reasons for waiting. Besides consulting advisors and getting

Pennsylvania lottery wins to be taxed, if legislation passes
If and (most likely WHEN) this gets signed, it will be from this past June 2015 onwards. I recall the fiasco in NJ when that happened there, some one was a Powerball winner and she fought the case.... Might as well start going cash instead of annuity, cuz Taxes always go up ...might as well take the lowest hit.....

Florida woman gives away $43 million Lotto jackpot
Hey I got an email from Prince Nerubian who claims that he inherited some of Miss Sorah's winnings and wishes to share the wealth with me......... I think I can scrape up the $50,000 deposit he needs to process the transfer, what do you think, should I go for it? I am concerned TurboTax will be unable to complete my taxes for 2016 due to the digit limitations Perhaps I could get Mr. Nerubian to invest the funds into an annuity for me

Florida woman gives away $43 million Lotto jackpot
Ruby, Congratulations on winning and living that long. 90 years. Here I am considering taking the 30-year annuity and you give me hope that I can live that long. Here is a common quote among senior citizens, I did not expect to live this long.

Abraham Shakespeare
Most documentaries are recyled. They will sometimes update it and usually dub in a new host or narrator. Wish I had gone into the crime documentary biz. Not expensive to produce and can be sold numerous times. If I did, I wouldnt have to fantasize winning the lottery. Abraham never had a chance. He couldnt leave his environment and everyone took advantage of him. I'm not sure moving somewhere else would have changed much. At least there would be no Dee Dee. Should have taken the annuity and

Twin sisters split $6 million California Lottery prize
$20,000 a month is some nice extra cash. I think they are wise to do the annuity. 60% = $12,000 40% = $8,000
