Powerball has been a success because it is generating more winners than mega millions. 3 jackpots have been won since the new game matrix went in effect. I do not count the $336M won in Rhode island since it had tickets sales from the old game matrix. Powerball is making more millionaires the way they promised. $40M to $100M is a life changing jackpot. The 2/25/2012 $70M Powerball jackpot was won in NY with an $8 ticket.

When Florida joined Powerball in 2009, it went from the matrix of 5/55 + 1/42 to 5/59 + 1/39, making the game more difficult to win again. Just two months ago, Powerball changed again by increasing the ticket price to $2, but in compensation, changing the matrix to 5/59 + 1/35, making the game a bit easier to win (but it only has about 500,000 total combinations LESS than Mega Millions does).

That Ohio win must have been quite a few years ago because when I matched 5of6 in 2002 in Ohio Super Lotto, the payout was fixed at $1500 and the game had been running a few years then. Ohio Classic Lotto is the same game with a few changes like the amount added to the jackpot after each drawing. Fla fantasy 5 playing footsy with the balls?
There have been 4 in a row 30s numbers in row 4 and 5.. happened last time about 10 months ago..(Just a question) I was wondering about the whole (Changing of the balls/pre draws/change machines) and other stuff.. Does the Florida F5 every once in a while do pre draws (ect)to throw off number pickers like us.. or just let a small game like this just be run by the nearest janitor in the room and all is draw after draw? Think, I agree with you. If you go back and read what I wrote, I did mention that at least the new game gives players a choice. I was only stating that I try to stick to a budget and prefer to take any extra money I choose to spend and bet it on either another game or an additional ticket instead of increasing the jackpot.
