Dude what are you going on and on about? Of course UK lottery winners are going to have US federal taxes taken out of their winnings before they even get their winnings. Just like it happens here in the US. The only exemption for the UK winners are state taxes. As for me, I am going to keep on buying my tickets and looking forward to seeing the new starting jackpots and how fast they will grow.

What's earnings value ? Never heard that term used when discussing or reading about the lottery. Are you talking about earnings value from a players perspective or the lottery's perspective as it relates to running their business? Reduced jackpots are a direct result of reduced ticket sales. One thing I truly miss is bump up to the jackpot like in the good old days. Gone for good I'd say. Considering that they've done it 4 times in the last 4 months it hardly seems like it no longer happens. Changing to 3 drawings per week has a minor effect, but the real issue is that lottery sales per drawing are generally slower than they used to be. I think you're correct and I too think it backfired on them big time. To me the obvious question becomes (provided they want to make as money off the game as they used to) So why not return to one evening draw per day??? These days, if there is one winner in each drawing on any given day, both jackpots total to approximately $155,000 to $160,000.
