Mega-millions settings and suggestions for Digit Master.
I'm not part of this pool RL but it seems to me the whole idea of a pool would be to play a large enough number of lines to give a verifiable statistical advantage.......
The example I have been working on for several months is the MM 5/56 game where 98,280 lines reduces the odds from 1 in 3.8 million to 1 in 39. Because 98,280 lines are too many to play... even for a pool, a 4 if 4 wheel can be used to reduce the number of lines down to 4931.
Using this method took me 18 draws to hit 5

RL's Digit Master Pro Big Game software download.
RL, I think only you and winsum should work on the setup for the game for the next three draws or so, while the rest of the pool members hone their skills. While I am getting better each day with the groups and digits part, my filter selections are for the most part based on what the suggestion button recommends! While it is a good thing to ask pool members to participate in play selection, it doesn't have to be EVERYTIME! If the desired results are not there, then it is ok to try different stra

Lottery pools good or bad?
The only glue that keeps pools together is frequent winning. Before you create a pool check if you can provide this feature. The same applies if you join someone's pool. A pool that is constantly loosing is not going too last. My pool for 649 years ago fell apart because of that. When we were winning (making profit for 3 months) I had a lot of willing candidates for participation. When we stopped winning in the next 3 months people very quickly lost interest. You can't blame them for that - nobo

Two workers in lottery pool sue over $118 million ticket
NEVER EVER EVER EVER PLAY in a Lottery Pool without a Lottery Pool Contract. I don't care if they're your best friends, relatives or even your own mother or father. Today, we live in a wicked world, were values are put on the back burner and trust isn't everything. I play in a Lottery Pool, there are ten onf us. we all signed a contract, and if anyone wihes to drop out it has to be in writing, that way if someone does drop out we have it on paper, no reason to go to court, to hold up everyones m

Two workers in lottery pool sue over $118 million ticket
It depends on how their pool is set up. If it's simply a set buy-in pool and everyone gets an equal share in the event of a jackpot win regardless of the amount they put in($1 vs $2), then these two should be entitled to equal share of the overall jackpot. I've done a pool before and that's how we set it up. Each buy-in gave the person an equal share in the event of a jackpot win. I've sinced stopped doing pools, but I sure as hell wouldn't join a pool if those weren't the rules. In other words,

Which odds are better?
Line totals are one option for filtering out low probililty lines. Its my understanding that 70% of all jackpot winning line totals on the 5/56 MM game fall between 106-179.
If the entire universe of lines were divided into 2 pools, the one pool with a 70% chance of holding the next jackpot winner and the other pool with a 30% chance of holding the next jackpot winner, which pool would you bet on?
Which pool to pick is clear. What I would like to know is how many lines are in each of the 2

In group lottery wins, splitting the spoils tough
Every once in a while a lottery jackpot becomes so huge that people can't help but band together in the hope of increasing their odds, pooling their money for a wad of tickets and promising to evenly split the spoils. Seems like a good idea until lightning strikes and the group wins.
Then the future involves not only luxury, but also lawsuits. Numerous group winners have been sued by people claiming to have pitched in for the ticket, creating messy fights over what money will be left once the

Mega Millions winner forced to split jackpot with co-workers
Here's the useful quote from the article: The case ... marked the latest cautionary tale involving lottery pools, pacts often based on trust and a handshake.
The lesson from this is that contracts should be in writing, and they should be written by somebody who's not an idiot. Despite some hassles along the way there are at least 5 players who wouldn't have won if they hadn't been in a pool. I put won in quotation marks because there's only one person who really knows if the winning ticket wa

A couple of new questions (I think)...cash gifts, pools winning option
as to part
2: does the entire pool have to unanimously choose annuity or cash option?
the answer is yes. ideally it should be decided before the pool starts collecting cash and mentioned to everyone so they understand. remember the lottery only want to deal with 1 person , the pool manager. and sure as heck dont wan tto cut checks for 20 people ea winning ticket.
its just more fun to take to lawyers and argue over in a pool.

Workplace Lottery Pool Contract...
We just started a lottery pool at work because of the big Powerball. I don't know if it'll continue, now that the jackpot's been won, but it's being run pretty well. Everything is done by email and we recieve copies of the tickets the day of or day before the draw. After one draw we won a small amount that wasn't big enough to split, and decided to re-invest in the next drawing.
A couple of us wanted to add in another $2 for more tickets, so the person running the pool started a separate pool
