My lucky store
I'm doing business at a 'new' convenience store, at least new to me, that I've ignored/overlooked for years having driven by it virtually daily. There is nothing wrong with it exactly, large parking lot, fairly clean, and even nice people. It just did not have the right vibe, so to speak. It is in an extremely traveled area but it always seems to be isolated and is rarely crowded when it should be. But, I've changed my way of thinking and started stopping in. It has taken some time, but the sto

Neat thing..
I don't really play video games much anymore but this would be a really cool thing to have rather than wasting money on a new machine every two years. http://videogames.yahoo.com/feature/new-tech-could-make-consoles-obsolete/1299562 What if you could stream top-end games to your TV, just like a Youtubevideo that you can control? You'd never need to buy a console again. That's the future envisaged by Palo Alto startup OnLive, whichplans to launch a groundbreaking gaming service this

One way or another
time*treat I think you are contradicting yourself You said Let's suppose only 1 person in all the UK bought a ticket for the drawing and matched 3 numbers. The budget for the 3rd prize pool is over 13mill, but the single winner is still only going to get paid 10. (Would you call that cheating?) The remaining 13,888,878 gets carried over to the next drawing along with all the money in the other tiers. That creates a cushion for when many people win, which will happen with much less frequenc

Texas woman says friend stole winning lottery ticket
This story is a summation of what *NOT* to do with a winning ticket. If you're going to brag about it... don't be lazy, go to the Store yourself and validate it and fill a Claim Form. Sign the ticket immediately! (duh!) People are desperate during this Depression, and sometimes enough $ can make friendship be forgotten. Don't hand a winning ticket even to your best friend. Only show after validation. I mean, isn't it more fun to go to the Store yourself with it? If there was a sit

D.C. fines lottery operator $1.4M in ticket scam
GTECH Corp., the operator of many government lotteries worldwide, was fined $1.4 million by the District of Columbia this month over charges that its subcontractors or a partner firm hacked into the district's lottery system and printed winning tickets for themselves two years ago. The fine, which GTECH calls a blatantly political move, comes as the firm is locked in a long battle to retain the New Jersey contract it has held for more than two decades. GTECH and its Washington, D.C., partn

A South Carolina convenience store employee turned herself in to police Monday on allegations she stole dozens of scratch-off lottery tickets from work last month and then cashed in the winners, officials said. Detective Billy Royster, Aiken Public Safety, said the subject stole the tickets, each valued at $10, and then collected the money for the winners. The store, howe
