Wondering..how far have you ever driven to play the lottery?
We all do all kinds of things to increase our odds in any game that we play. And as the saying goes, you have to be in it to win it , therefore i was wondering how far have people (you) driven just to have a chance at winning. I live in Ga and drove to TN to get a select number of powerball tickets...just wondering how many other dedicated individuals are out there.....

MM actual amount
It would be interesting to know but I think that's one of those thing where one wouldn't find out until after there's been a jackpot winner since the increase would just roll into the next drawing if no one hit it.

Don't Pick on QP!
I agree...If you have an effective system use it. But increase your odds by purchasing quick picks. I also find that purchasing the quick picks early in the am yields better results.

I think Californians hate Super Lotto Plus
There is only so much money among lottery players. A state can add more games, but it cannot increase the total amount of money spent among all the games. Since this is a ball machine, it might be a nice quiet game to concentrate on for people who live out there and hate RNGs.

Why I think quick picks suck
Okay, the post by Coin Toss, got me thinking a little bit.........I'm not trying to bash anyone that likes quick picks. If you play alot of quick picks then good luck to you. I'm just simply saying this........if I wanted to get hit by lightning I wouldn't just go stand outside. I would probably do some things to increase my chances. I would go outside in a thunderstorm, stand under the tallest tree, wrap myself in tin foil........well you get the point. I like to use the same approach when play

Ball Drawers
Not a bad way to increase revenues. Were those shows actually run by the lottery? Maybe I'm not quite understanding what you mean. The reason so many shows make the viewers wait for results is, of course, so they can make money from sponsors.

Tough economy?  Some cut back on lottery tickets, wagering
I've got a formula too. I budget one day's take home pay plus winnings for the year. The formula is then (money left in budget/drawings left)*(prize/100 million) So as with you, an increase in the jackpot can increase the amount I play, but it's also affected by how much I've spent so far and how much longer I have to make my lottery budget last. I don't know if this is a perfect formula, but it keeps me from going broke buying lottery tickets. :)

Tough economy?  Some cut back on lottery tickets, wagering
I would certainly NOT strain my cramped budget to play the lottery. Poor investment indeed. What about the gas to get to work, money to pay for the increase in food, and everything else???? Obviously lotto sales will go down. I beleive most, who are not addicted gamblers, play lottery with discretionary income.

Ohio Classic Lotto 5/28
I don't agree with the payout either. After this current jackpot run, I won't play again for another 4 months. I would love to see them bring back the Super Lotto Plus. Jackpots start at $4 million and increase one million every drawing. I doubt they would do it, but maybe if they created a game with Michigan it would be possible.
