Quick Picks Are NOT Random
I didnt mean rigged like the lottery was behind it. I just meant predictable which it isnt supposed to be. The odds are SUPPOSED to be 1:180,000,000 or whatever it is to win Powerball. Not less than 1:50,000. The odds should be 1:36 to win a prize, not 1:3. If everyone used my system, in the long run, the players would be +EV versus the house and the jackpots would never increase.

Man claims $16M Florida Lotto prize
I agree with GamerMom. The extra dollar should increase the lower tier prizes. Only then will I spend it. I got a few 3 out of 6 wins this year and on Wed I got 4 out of 6. Had I spent the money on increasing the jackpot with the hope that I'd win with my other combinations (instead of just buying a few more tickets) I would have gotten nothing at all.

California Lottery revenues dip
YOU ARE FUNNEY! Why would the IRS,, or the state for that matter, want to eliminate a guarented income? They are not going to eliminate any tax revenue. Be patiant. In 2009, the IRS will start the effort taking twice as much from all taxes. Barrack Hussen Obama has already stated he will raise some taxes by 29%. At that to the loss of the Bush Tax cut of ten pecent, and then you will see a return the Jimmy Carter era - if you're old enough to actually remember him, not the modified history they

California Gov. calls for expanding, privatizing lottery
I agree the payouts in California are usually worse than other states, and it makes people not want to play as much. But it's not like they're ever gunna increase payouts

California Gov. calls for expanding, privatizing lottery
Adding a Pick 4 game will absolutely increase revenues. Just look at every other state that's done it and you will see that's how it works. It becomes a question of exactly how much revenue will be raised, but it is undeniable that it will raise revenue.

California Gov. calls for expanding, privatizing lottery
I am not sure how having more games is going to increase revenue. They seem to have all the bases covered with a large jackpot lottery (SuperLotto Plus), smaller jackpot game (fantasy 5), daily games (daily 3 and 4), and scratchers. I don't think decreasing the odds of SupperLotto Plus in order to get larger jackpots is a good idea. We already have one low odds to win jackpot game with Mega Millions.

How do I prove my state lottery's CGNs are fixed?
WOW! I checked out your math and I think that you have a tough task. However, just because a task is tough doesn't mean it isn't worth trying to pursue. I have seem lottery wheels, software, etc and I can tell you one thing, THOSE THINGS ARE BUNK! Not because I haven't HIT yet, but because they suppose there is some way to bring order to a totally random event. I can not find any information that says (save 1) that any of these system creators are actually, provable winners themselves. It is

Californians to get a full year to claim Mega Millions lottery prizes
Drop in the bucket. If they want more sales they need to bring back live, ball drawings for the daily draws, and have a massive increase in prize payout percentages for scratchers. Extending the period to claim prizes and letting people choose their payment option at the time of claim are moot points.

Mass. lottery store is success story
In Oklahoma, this exact arguement is being fought. The legislatures are so afraid of impacting their take of the lottery (thus having to make up the deficit from some where else) they refuse to allow the lottery officials the ability to increase the prizes, games, or options. Besides, if the lottery actually started to make money for Oklahoma, then those whinners who are against gambling would be proven wrong. No legislature will ever allow another legislature to look stupid. Would you like it p

Colorado Lottery director to retire
Some terminals at DIA would help sales, provided they were at the airside. But if they really want an increase in sales, they need to bring back the balls!
