As Fla. lottery sales slow, schools stand to lose
Lottery sales are still expected to grow from this year's $1.28 billion. IMO I think the state is making a ton of money, considering the current economy. What do they expect with all the foreclosures, high unemployment and inflation? Lollipop, maybe we should start a poll. I disagree that many people in FL drive to GA, but I could be wrong. From my neck of the woods, it would take me an entire day to get to GA and back plus around $100 in gas. I can see driving from Jacksonville or the

How do I prove my state lottery's CGNs are fixed?
Site updates are interfering with the auto posting of the Badger 5 wheel on a tight random schedule of 19:54 to 19:58 daily. I've reprogrammed the auto posting to an expanded random selection time frame of 00:00 to 19:58 daily to increase the probability of auto posting the Badger 5 wheel when LP site updates are being done.

Now or Later
Your right, I don't know the sales figures. That's why I think it would be better to base the increase off of the sales rather than have one set amount. The odds of winning are 1:12,271,512 and I don't know how well you follow the lottery or not, but the Hoosier Lotto is rarely ever won. Perhaps the news should begin questioning them again? ;)

Astrological techniques?
I'm wondering if any members here have found any astrological techniques that have helped them to increase their winnings. These can run from planetary transits to locational astrology to electional or horary astrology.

MM/PB Jackpot Sizes
I go by cash value, not jackpot size. Since I've gifted a percentage ownership in any MM tickets I buy to a large number of relatives, I used to not even play until the cash value was at least $50 million (jackpot size about 78 million). It would take that much to be enough for all of us. Recently, I've started buying a single ticket at some lower amounts but increase the number of tickets over that amount.

Payback For Winners
Not that it would mean much now that you have won the big one but creditors and banks say not to pay off all your debts all at once you should pay them over time to increase your credit score. You may think it doesn't mean much but it does. Especially if you want to buy lots of big item purchases which should also be paid off with credit.

New Florida Lotto playslips a bother to some
No kidding. Especially since I didn't scan anything in there saying that the extra buck or two would increase any lower tier prize that you could win. It just increases the jackpot, which already has extremely high odds. You'd be better off spending the money on another ticket.

Lottery winner demonstrates the right way to claim a big jackpot
I don't recall ever seeing anything that said that the funds are earning interest that will increase the amount paid to the winner when they get around to claiming it. The Ohio lottery website has some detailed info on the cash amount here: http://www.ohiolottery.com/howtoplay.stm At least with MM, the annuity appears to be purchased immediately, and the cash value comes from the sale of the securities that have been purchased. The site linked specifically says that the risk of loss in val

N.J. lottery midday draws held late, not televised
I was wrong, according to LottoReport website, sales of PB tickets went from $35,921,579 on 03/05/08 to $47,264,359 on 03/08/08, a 31% increase. Ohio players had to drive through the blizzard of 08 to get their tickets in neighboring states.
