how to truly or possibly win at lottery
So each person plays 3 numbers twice a day costing $6 per day. Multiplied by 365 days per year is $2190 per year spent. $1000 per day divided by 100 players is $10 per day. Multiplied by 365 days a year is $3650 per year. Subtract the 2190 investment from the 3650 winnings and each player gets $1460 per year if my math is right. And that's only if you can find 100 honest players who give the money they win to the pool to be divvied up.

Can MM & PB Start Being Honest? Must this farce continue?
It depends on how we define risk and how we perceive buying a $1 lottery ticket. I look at it as probably wasting a dollar because I know I have a very tiny chance of winning the jackpot. A risk to me is if I had a dollar coin, was going to buy a lottery ticket with it, but dropped it into a pool of hungry man-eating sharks. Should I risk my life for a very tiny chance to win the jackpot? It seems all the other countries in the world, including Canada, the UK, Spain, France and Italy would a

I am able to get a 5/5 most times in under 250 lines but always lose them to the RAC? My advice is create a pool or find an investor to defray costs. $250 is peanuts to win $250,000 and the better bet is $500 to win $1,000,000. Jimmy

Why so few lottery pool winners these days - is there not strength in numbers?
I run a pool and it is a lot of work. I've been running for several years now, it started with just 2 of us, and grew to 13 at one point, and is now at 11 members. For $4 every other Friday, we get a mix of Powerball, Lotto, and MegaMillions tickets for 2 weeks worth of drawings. We haven't won anything big yet, with the best we've won is around $100 in one round of tickets. We usually win something over the 2 week period, even if it's just $2. We still keep trying, hoping for the best.

Ok yeah, all 5 of you would-by followers and RL are doing wonders for LP. Great work. Just to get the record strait, I didn't say ANYTHING against the ranting, raving, lunatic RL or this faithful followers, all I said is that he should not use LP as a collection point for fund raising and even RL agreed that was NOT his intention. If you really wanted to send him money Im sure you would have found a way by now. The pool members didnt have any problems forwarding their $1.29 per draw so Im su

Woman who let Powerball winner go ahead of her has no regrets
I agree. This whole thing is ridiculous. Even if everyone got in line for their tickets fairly, the outcome still depends on the fraction of a second that the QP numbers are selected and printed out. And considering the rapid rate that tickets were being sold anyone in the country who had a QP printed out around that same moment could've come close as Crandell did, probably more, to winning. This is why I rolled my eyes at the story from a year ago where a lottery pool thought they won the ja

There are more individual players than there are pools. I run a pool with 20 people on powerball but we only play it when it is 100 million. With 20 people for 40 million jackpot with the cash option being around 23 million with the odds of winning, I have a better chance with the state lotto with 10 people with far better odds, and only cost me $1 instead of $2. Can you imagine how many lottery pools were formed or contributed to with this last go- round and they failed to land the big One?
