649 formula
An average of 90 drawings is nowhere close to what happens in Ohio's 6/49 game for 977 drawings and I doubt if it's even close to what happens in any other 6/49 game. With only 49 numbers and using 6 of them in each drawing, if no number repeated all the numbers would come up at least once in 9 drawings. For it to take an average of 90 drawings for all 49 to appear, some numbers would have to be constantly repeating and if that happened the drawings wouldn't appear random or that some number

Texas Lottery suspends sales for 'All or Nothing' game
I think it depends in each state on how they handle it or what they set as their liability limit. I found the following on the Florida Lottery Pick3 site: Unlike the Lottery's other terminal games, which are pari-mutuel in design (that is, players are vying for a portion of what is in the prize pool), Cash 3 and Play 4 offer set prize payouts. Therefore, the Lottery has established a $10 million liability limit for Cash 3 for any particular three-digit number for each drawing. Should any thre

I'm LOSING MY MIND! (step away from the numbers, Cindi!)
I won't be playing MegaMillions with a system anymore but I will play a few QP's when the jackpot gets over 500 million. So all in all I will be contributing signifcantly less to the jackpot pool during the jackpot run than I have currently to date. So I don't think people will not play the game but I think the hardcore lottery players will contribute less to the jackpot, but I might be wrong. You never know when you have 75 balls banging around maybe it will be less random. I assume they will b

Mega Millions multi-state lottery to get harder to win in Oct.
Are you saying the MM has just jumped the shark? Zagly. And there ain't no tablespoon, that would shorten the odds, you'd be eatin' the mayonnaise out of the jar with a pool cue.

How to share with relatives.
Well, yea, depending on the individual, the final tax bill is going to come out different, but my point was uncle sam is going to get a a pretty big chunk no matter how you slice the cake. your earlier post about treating it like an office pool is probably the way to go.

Mega Millions multi-state lottery to get harder to win in Oct.
This sucks! This smells like a proposal that came from someone linked to the NY Lotto game. 75 numbers! That is crazy! Or maybe someone confused raising Social Security age with raising pool of 5 up to the 75 mark. Actually, I won't boycott the game. It brings in all of my significant numbers so I will play on. Maybe I might get lucky and win the first ever billion dollar jackpot! While they are at making changes, why don't they scrap the whole annuity thing and make whatever they adve

POLL: Jackpot fever frenzy
I also dont enjoy getting behind somebody on line who is going nuts buying 200 tickets, because then I might have to go down the street to another store. I assume you're talking about 200 tickets and not 200 lines, because buying 200 lines might only be 40 or 20 tickets and lots of people buying for a pool might buy that many which should only take a minute or two even when the terminals are slow. When I was traveling out of state to buy tickets for BigGame and PowerBall, former co-workers

Quick picks or a system.
Well the people at work all got a PB pool together and collected $5 each from 22 people including me. Then handed me the money and said you play it however you want, they know i play and do win on systems when the #s are in the wheels i use. But $110 will only go so far PB is pretty tough to hit 3 and sometimes even the PB # is pretty tough. Thought about just quick picks because on wed when i bought the $100 worth of a pretty good system for PB, bought $3 worth of megabucks which is 6/49 i thin

$600 MILLION: Biggest Powerball jackpot ever
Alright my turn. So far I have 14 tickets for which I only paid $3.00. Think work pool. I am thinking of buying 2 for myself with powerplay and wait for the draw. Good luck people.
