There are a lot of people who have won large jackpots and they arestill living well. Not everyone who wins, will turn out to be a JackWhittaker or David Edwards.

Why I think quick picks suck
Uh......actually, like I said, I used to play exclusively quick picks with not much luck at all. Over the time that I bought alot of quick picks I would say that about 50% to 75% of them were what I would consider to be bad plays so it wasn't one ticket with one set of numbers. Also, I wouldn't say I was throwing any kind of a hissy fit snit , just posting my opinion on the subject. I said in my first post that I know most jackpots are hit by quick picks. You can believe what you want, but I bel

Does God pick the winners
If there really is a divine intervention on who wins jackpots, why don't we see 50 people split a $100 million or never see a jackpot over $16 million? Does the average person really need to win over $10 million to live comfortably for the rest of their lives no matter how old they are?
Luck is another force that was mentioned but when somebody buys 2 QPs, are they lucky if they matched five numbers or unlucky because the missed the Powerball or Mega ball? When you look at the odds, they coul

Winning Mega Millions lottery ticket worth $56M sold in Michigan
The last MM jackpot was won at $17M. This month, $56M. Is that what the jackpots are going to be like this year? Boring.

POLL: Do you play every drawing or not?
Powerball EVERY drawing since it came to PA, and even before then I drove to West Vagina when the jackpots got big.
you can't win if you don't play.

World Lottery- When Implemented?
The US already has two nationwide lotteries that are available to almost everyone, as long as they don't mind driving or calling a friend in another state. As far as competition, the states should be thrilled if there was a single game that was available in all states, as long as it was run like MM and PB, with the money going to the states that sell the tickets. Nobody would have to buy their tickets in another state, so states wouldn't lose money to other states. Since the odds would presumabl

World Lottery- When Implemented?
Meh, the US would only need a national lottery, obviously the odds would have to be higher but just imagine how big the potential jackpots could be with all 50 states and maybe some territories in on the action. Too bad that'd never happen since I doubt the companies that run the Mega Millions and Powerball games would want the competition. Unless they merged and even still states might not like it either since money would be spread much thinner. But I could easily see something like that regula

Do you personally know any lottery winners?
In 1984 Tom Lapenna ( I went to school with his son) He was the first winner of Michigan 6/40. In 1994 a woman I know won the Michigan 6/49 (I believe it was 49 then) Jackpot. A waitress I know won the Michigan nightly Keno for $250,000.
I don't know anyone who has won big on scratch offs and I don't know anyone who has won Fantasy Five and as far as Mega Millions goes all those prizes are won in southeast Michigan with Warren (a suburb of Detroit) getting more than its fair share of Jackpot

The world's biggest jackpot - 25 million
What do you qualify as a large jackpot? There has been a 270M, 135M and 196M Mega Millions Jackpot as well as a 95M (I don't consider this large either), 275M and 179M jackpots for Powerball in the first six months and the year isn't even half over yet. There's still plenty of time for either to roll past 300M. Not every year can have a record setting jackpot.
I said jackpot way too many times in that paragraph....

Why do you play the lottery?
I'm referring to the big jackpots. Mega Million, Powerball, your State's big lottery, etc.
I've never known the pick 3/4's to be able to provide financial security or allow one to quit there job on a single win.
