Powerball coming to Maryland, Massachusetts
According to local media reports, Powerball lottery tickets will soon be sold in Maryland and Massachusetts. Other Mega Millions states are sure to follow.
Maryland Lottery Director Buddy Roogow expects the sales to begin in the next four or five months. The decision is a result of lots of negotiations between officials in the states that operate Mega Millions and Powerball over the last seveal months.

Quick Picks vs Self Picks, neither has an advantage
A few people in the News Forum asked in the thread about the $1.337 billions MM jackpot asked if the winning ticket was a self pick or a quick pick.

Retailer re-enters the spotlight after skirting thousands in tax evasion

The South Carolina Department of Revenue (SCDOR) announced on Saturday that the store owner who sold the winning ticket for the $1.537 billion Mega Millions jackpot in 2018 has been arrested and charged with five counts of tax evasion.

New Michigan bill would allow multi-state lottery winners to remain anonymous

On Thursday, a State Representative proposed new legislature that would allow Michigan winners of multi-state games like Mega Millions and Powerball to remain anonymous when claiming a prize.
Only winners of local in-state Michigan games are currently allowed to remain anonymous, but a bill introduced by Rep. Pat Outman specifies that players who win multi-state games would be able to choose to remain anonymous as well.
