Ornery dog leads to $1M lottery win
How about all of us here at LP (139,043), kick in for one line for tonight's MM drawing. That would only set each of us back .000007192 cents each. If we hit tonight's jackpot for $13 million, we would all be $93 richer! We might also set the Guinness Book of world Records for the largest lottery pool ever.

Sequential difference for P3,P4, P5, Lotto: 5/31-5/34
Let's work more on P4, using data above, using your highest digit of selected triads as your x limit(Less picks if waging on distinct picks). Start with date jan 28, draw set 3383 gives seq.difference 0-5-5 corresponding to triads 029-021-291 and 574-576-745. I will bet more on difference 5 and pick triads 574-576-745 with x=0 to 7 (highest), the digis 5746 could be deleted for distinct bet, 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 for final picks triads/ 0,1,3,4. Lets take another date, say jan 28(eve draw), draw set 3

Look up for Pool size trend, choose a string
For folks using the reduced string for your BASE pair(P3), triad (P4) , Quads(P5), your x is 0 thru highest digit of reduced string. Lets say your final string was 178, your x is 0 to 8(highest), if 245 ,x is 0 thru 5. Now if you decide to play distinct bets, then minus the reduced string, eg 178 from 0 -8 leaving you 0,2,3,4,5,6. Same for reduced string 245 from 0-5, leaving you 0,1, 3. Test it and see how it works, is about reducing the pool size all the way, maintaning the positions of digits

Do some number combinations have better odds?
If you're actually serious about pursuing research into how to narrow down the Powerball or Mega Millions matrix into a pool of 28 numbers that have a decent chance of containing the 5 winning numbers, why don't you break off and start your own thread rather than continuing to associate yourself with this mess? If I did that, I would be just expanding on Ronnie's idea and some of the ideas RJ and others have posted. It's easier for me to add my ideas to theirs. I've been around gambling, sp

NY Lotto adds only $300k now?!
Take 5 doesn't roll period. If no one wins the jackpot, the money gets added to the second-place prize pool. Lotto had been rolling at $300K for a while now. I noticed it back in November when they started doing it. I hadn't realized the last two rollovers were bigger; I wonder if the buy $5/get $2 free promotion this month has increased sales enough that they can afford to add more than $300K to the pot. Also, for most of January the jackpot has been more than the Mega Millions minimum (even

signing the petition for true drawings
How does one check if computerized drawings are random, or selective, like Russian Roulette? They will not have professor from Harvard inspecting, will they? That's a bad part. Everyone should sign the petition. The alternative is to try and crack computer pattern. In general such change means that the type of people who wins will be different from now on. Whomever did not win big before... oh, that's us. :) In general big prize winners pool will dwindle thanks to computers.
