Do you trust quick picks generated by the Lotteries?
The majority of jackpots are won by the state-generated quick picks. This is because the majority of tickets sold are state generated quick picks. Therefore, the QPs are quite valid. I've seen what look like disgusting out-of-pattern QP numbers and those draws were won by a QP purchaser. When it comes to the jackpot games, it's almost a waste of time to try and figure out what is going to fall next. There are just too many combinations possible, and they all have an equal chance of being draw

The economy's effect of lottery playing
With all the recent talk about a recession, a terrible housing market, a stock market that is in trouble, rising gas prices, etc.... I was just wondering how all of this effects lottery players? Would you wait until jackpots are bigger and spend the same, spend less but play as often, or would it have no effect on how much you spend or how often you play? I just imagine that the people who would really benefit from a lotto win are the ones that are most effected by the above factors and have les

Dear Governor Rendell
sorry i ranted... but i think 43 numbers in a 5 number game is cheating the players.one or two other states do this.i know missouri has 43 numbers and i might be wrong but i think new jersey did do something like this.hope like hell it isn't a trend.next thing you know all these other states will follow with similar changes.i guess they think by raising the matrix the jackpot will tend to grow to a bigger amount but in these days of 300 million dollar powerball and mega million jackpots i don't

Elks Club members in fight over $21M lottery win
I jump in whatever pool I can. There is one that I join regularly on high Mega jackpots (imagine how it got my attention when I heard the winning Mega was sold in my county, even though it wasn't my numbers)... I feel like if they happen to win when I didn't put in, if they're nice they'll give me some consolation prize being I contributed many other times, but if not, then I should have put in. I certainly wouldn't sue over it. If people win who I know personally (and who I like), I am a lot ha

Your predictions and a large viewing of your post
I've been posting numbers for awhile here on LP...and where I used to think about who would play my numbers, now I don't even give it a thought. There are too many numbers being posted and if you have been playing my numbers you know exactly how many jackpots I have won......at one time I actually posted a note saying that if you played my numbers it is at your own risk or loss....I actually don't post on the Prediction forum anymore....don't have time to work the numbers.....

Maddogs Mega Millions Challenge 1/11
In Georgia and believe states other than California they get the full $250k minus taxes withheld, fixed amounts for lower tiers. In California they get $65,577 for 5 numbers and lower tiers since payouts on prizes other than jackpots are pari-mutuel.

Poll: Michigan Mega Millions
This has happened with every state that has joined Mega Millions. Their in-state game always suffers. If you can find one that didn't suffer then that would be amazing. California seems to be an exception. Their in-state game still has pretty high jackpots in a short amount of time. All other small states games don't grow like they used to including Ohio, Illinois, and so forth. Brad

Poll: Michigan Mega Millions
I think there is some truth to what you are saying...Most people have a certain amount to play...If they see another game with big jackpots they will play that ..and probably still play the other games but with less money that is left from what they typically spend because some of that whent to Mega...Maybe that is a minor part of the reason why state games are going longer without hits...but i dont think it makes that big of difference... As far as you saying it's getting less likely to win ..i

Poll: Michigan Mega Millions
Michigan probably joined the MegaMillions game for the same reasons Ohio did. Ohio had a local game that paid big jackpots before PowerBall and Biggame came on the scene. After seeing Ohio players driving out of state to play them, Ohio decided to join MegaMillions to keep its players home. Before Ohio joined MegaMillions I use to drive up RT23 to Michigan to the first truck stop to stand in line for BigGame tickets or drive to Decatur, Indiana to do the same for PowerBall tickets.
