Suggested QP VS Choosing Survey Project
PS
I'm going to open a Illinois Little Lotto Jackpots 2008 thread in Pick 5 and track at least the first 90 (leap year) days of the year and comapre that to the first 89 days of 2007

Suggested QP VS Choosing Survey Project
Okay CT, I am also seeing just as many non-QP winners. The thing about pick-5 here is that you can win over $250k or end up with $25,000 if there are multiple winners. Rarely is there more than one winner in Lotto or MegaMoney, but of course the jackpots are much higher the odds are much greater. All the games cost a dollar. I guess I just need to decide on which game I'm going to waste my dollar.
So far since Sunday

Million Dollar Raffles
You're only a millionaire if you have a million or more dollars. We all know that after taxes we will never wind up with what the jackpot originally was. I wish they'd quit crowing about these so-called million dollar raffles. No one will ever see a million dollars. Same with big lotto jackpots. You'll never see the millions that you supposedly won. Why can't they be more honest? Because people like BIG numbers and a $500,000 jackpot is just not as appealing as $1,000,000. I don't know why not

Matrix change: Powerball to get much harder to win?
Why doesn't PB roll its matrix back some and essentially coast along with that game which was once fun to play?
To compete with mega lotteries like El Gordo which draws once a year why doesn't the Multi-State Lottery Association expand on what states are doing now and have a raffle every 6 months or every year???? Jackpots climb to the probable billion + range and everyone gets what they want ...... all of which makes sense instead of trying Franken-morph PB into something unrecognizable.

what game does your state NOT have that you wish they did?
I am glad we do not have PB or MM in FL. The odds are too high in my opinion. I'd really like to see a 6/49 Lotto again. I realize why they switched to the higher matrix, but I'd rather have lower jackpots with better odds.
Otherwise, I am satisfied with the games they offer. After all, I can only spend so much money!!

POLL: Breaking the code
Anyone remember that guy who made a painting in Australia? He has since passed and his son is selling the painting.
Within the painting is supposedly, the broken code. The guy did win 3 jackpots, and a ton of lower tier prizes. He spent years in the basement trying to break it. His family was not too happy about it..lol Granted, it's not a 100%, but I can live with 3 JPs....lol

Confidence
Our Lotto game is 1:23M so, I recently began to play pick-5 and FL is 1 to 36. 1 in about 370K combinations compared to 146M or 170M sounds much easier to hit, right?
If I spend $2 every day ($60 a month) on this one game I will spend more than $720 at the end of the year.
The overall odds are 1 in 7.58 so you can expect a return of around $100 worth of cash and/or free plays. Compared to overall odds in Lotto (1 in 67.36), I think you're on the right track. If you're getting $2 in QPs

Quick Picks can't match the power of Self Picks
When you stop going off on a tangent, we'll battle. This is about the Pick 5 topics you've been admittedly promoting by posting only jackpots and not considering the lower tier wins. You keep moving the attention away from the original Pick 5 QP vs SP. From what I can read, you seem more like the snotty kid, who when he's knows he's losing the battle, he throws in off topic issues, saying with a childish condescending tone, Yeah, but what about this? Nah, nah... nah. Yeah, what about that? Eve

foreign winners
I am most certain that people from other countries have won the big jackpots. Now whether they were just working here or seeking citizen ship i don't know. A cab driver from New York who was from EL Salvador i think. And there may have been a few more people .
You will only find this in formation by looking in the news section on lottery post. you might have to check back a few years worth of posts.

Suggested QP VS Choosing Survey Project
In researching your inquiry further, as of April 3, 1990 to date, there were a total of 290 LOTTO Jackpot tickets and of the 290, 168 were Quick-pick
So now that I look at this statement again, that means that about 57%, of the jackpots won were with a QP. Since more than 75% of Lotto tickets purchased are QPs, then using your own numbers seems to be an advantage. Am I making sense here?
