Should a winning system be posted on the LP?
Hi RL,
Long time since we chatted. Like you, I keep the best for myself. Actually the time off and taking a break from the numbers is a good thing. I've suggested it to RJOH a couple times in the past when I sensed he was getting fustrated. You've done so much over the last few months giving the LP the best system it seen. It is no wonder you are feeling the mileage. *S* My suggestion is to simply take some time away from the numbers, go back to the regular pick 5 where you started, and enjo

RJOh,
The only thing I've ever figured out is winning combinations seldom repeat if ever.
Do you think this might be because the total number of drawings conducted thus far in the Ohio Classic Lotto is minuscule compared to the total possibilities, 13,983,816?
The number of combinations not yet draw is overwhelmingly large, so why would you think there is any significance to your observation?

Lottery Code has already been broken
RJOh, a system can't entirely be based on the official results and I'll tell you why. Anything that happens between the last official draw and the next one, in terms of any balls being drawn, AUTOMATICALLY kicks out those last numbers given to be worked with. This is regardless of an official draw...a different set of numbers still prevails in the end when it comes time to actually play. Does this makes any sense at all?
Think about it. They give draw results to show what happened but, you do

RJOh
If someone tried that with me I would slap a counter-suit on them faster than the speed of light.
Attorney fees alone would could run in the millions so they would wind up working two jobs for the
rest of their natural life paying me for the trouble. Anytime someone hit's a JP it should be a happy
occasian without any worries.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Correction RJOh.
Ronnie316 said that wheel didn't need any changes, not me.
For betting purposes, I viewed it as no less random than the one I got from random.org.
With hindsight, any of us can go back and find winning lines to insert.

Can math and logic improve chances of winning a jackpot?
Stack47 RJOh,
So now, when my suggestion that believers in their systems should be the ones to write backtesters and/or simulators is met with an excuse, you call it a challenge.
First of all, I have no NEED for anyone to write a computer program for me, especially this type of program. (If you only knew how true that statement is.) Secondly, I KNOW what a simulation or backtest of your silly Lotto Systems will produce. The point I am trying to make is that unless one of the believers her

RJOh,
I'm sorry. You have completely missed my point[s] here. 4% was not referring to the ODDS of winning. For the sake of discussion, 4% was offered as an arbitrary CONFIDENCE LEVEL for the efficacy of an unspecified system. You apparently are not carefully reading my posts and/or seriously studying the articles and research reports I've linked to.
Your best answer to my rhetorical question above would have been that it would make absolutely no difference what means you used to generate y

Do some number combinations have better odds?
RJOh,
If you dig deep enough in your data mine you might find a set of 28 with even more than 36 hits of 5, since this result is still within the range of reasonable expectations. What did you conclude from this 36 HIT set?
Since you found earlier that the set [1..28] produced a typical, normal result, I was hoping yuu would run your data against the upper half of the range, [29..56]. Did you run it? If so, what was the result? With the code you've already written, I'm sure you could also

Do some number combinations have better odds?
RJOh,
Some folks just hate the idea of a lucky lottery player winning so much money for so little work.
And how many people do you know who are in this category? I don't know one. Do you think there might have been another reason those folks advocated for smaller jackpots?
Besides, what does this have to do with whether certain number combinations have better odds than others?
