Mass. Lottery dispute takes bizarre turn
The law disagrees with your view on both points. The one fact about the circumstances of this case that is undisputed is that St John found the ticket, and the laws about found property are clear. St John only becomes the lawful owner of anything he finds if the person who lost it intended to abandon it or doesn't come forward in the period specified by law.
The law is also clear about inheritance, and the son inherits the property of his father based on the father's will or the applicable

Lottery Post member turns up the heat on the Hoosier Lottery
If someone is clever and digs hard enough they can come up with that information via public record. Same argument has been tossed around here .... winner seeking privacy, public seeking complete disclosure. People pay attorneys to protect their identities for reasons of safety to themselves and their families. Were you in a similar situation you might consider same too.
To my knowledge there don't seem to be any laws prohibiting people from other nations playing in any US state lotteri

Is the Lottery (PB/MM) corrupt?
WW777:
I can't recall any thread where the PowerBall or MegaMillions games have been called into question. Both games have substantial security measures in place, and both are drawn mechanically on live television.
If you're referring to the many posts on the hopelessly corrupt Hoosier Lottery, you'll find adequate fodder for your query by utilizing LP's search engine.
For the record, I no longer play any Hoosier Lottery games, and haven't since I discovered the extent of their frauds

Lottery Post member turns up the heat on the Hoosier Lottery
Winning scratch off according to whose record for sales? Gtech records that the State is given. Enron gave impressive information, Arthur Anderson gave accounting information, and the law Firm Vinson and Elkins gave information. Was the information truthful. Aruthur Anderson is out of business. You nor I can prove what the acutal sales of one vendor over
another really is. Giving some retailers the big tier scratch offs because we are told they sell more tickets is another make believe st

5/35-1/25 type jackpot game
Posted by Greg: Yesterday, 2:58 pm - IP Logged Once everyone STOPS playing PowerRipoff and MegaRipoff, for at least 3 months, the lottery powers that be will abandon these games with no money coming in OR offer a 5/35 game with a bonus ball field of 1-10 for those of us out here in Lottoland who would be happy with a jackpot of $25.mil. and MORE concerned about a number field that is REASONABLE and somewhat PLAYABLE. It would have been real nice, L.Mike, if you could have given me credit, for t

N.C. Lottery misunderstandings could derail bonds
The new North Carolina lottery is supposed to help fund education, but local school officials and advocates are worried that the newly created state game could shut off a vital source of funding. Our worry is that the public will see the lottery as being this great boon and will say, 'Well, we don't need to vote for this bond. The lottery will take care of it,' said Margaret Arbuckle, director of the Guilford Education Alliance, a business group that is a booster for public schools.Bonds are n

Lottery Advantage by Gail Howard
Gail Howard has sold tens of thousands of copies of the software and several hundred peoplw have taken the time to thank her for a big win. Even if that figure is a small percentage of people who have won, it is still a small percentage of those who bought the software and books. The key in my opinion is INTELLIGIBLY and INTUITIVELY using her (or anyone else's) software, Bob. You can buy a $10,000 tennis racket and still not beat the pro's; it's HOW you use it and what skill and strategy and

A brief introduction of Korean Lotto 645
Korean Lotto 6/45...Basically a pick-6/45 jackpot game with a bonus ball. Started in early December 2002 and any on-line service of purchasing tickets on players' behalf is prohibited by law (in my opinion, that's too bad!). The ticket sells for approxiamately $1 each. The odds of hitting jackpot is approximately 1 in 8 million, and it draws every Saturday, just once a week. The amount of jackpot(pari-mutuel) usually stands at around $11 million being paid all in lump sum cash. Due to the relativ
