Iowa Lottery approves self-ban for players
The Iowa Lottery Board voted Tuesday to allow lottery players to self-ban themselves from winning game prizes in order to stem problem gambling. After pondering the self-ban move for a few months, and following announcement of record Iowa Lottery sales of $210 million last year, the board felt the time was right for a self-ban, Iowa Lottery CEO Ed Stanek said. We want to maximize our proceeds for the state with everyone playing in moderation, Stanek said. We don't want our success to be at the

Can you start a new Forum heading?
Well I am a new person and just would like to say that This forum was well organized and easy to follow, I just had some personal issues with the posting program (rich text), however I went to Todd s help section and found what I need to know in like 2 minutes! So I thought that was well organized and I did not need to write Todd and ask him something that was already there for me to read for myself. But that s just me, I have built a web site and I run a forum or group page that is similar to t

PowerBall odds for 100 tickets?
Yes you're right. perhaps it just came in an unexpected way just like I said! My subconscious mind actually instructed me to get one QP, but at the time I was not really aware of it. Very keen observation Konane! Yes I have been close about 4 times I got 4 out of 6, and if not for that darn $2.00 price I would be able to own that lucky for life. As I said previously, it would not take a real lot to make me happy, I could live fine off of $2,000 a month without having to work. But a couple milli

Court may shut down Mega Millions in California
California Democrats may yet 'reap what they sow', as they started the effort to shut down Mega Millions soon after it started.Mega Millions, the multistate lotto game California joined in June, could be shut down Friday if the Schwarzenegger administration loses its battle to keep the game running. The state-run lottery and an anti-gambling group are set to argue in Sacramento court whether to halt the game as a judge weighs claims by the group and Democratic legislators that voters permitted a

$315M Mega Millions lottery winners stay on the job
A secretary and six laboratory workers at Kaiser Permanente in California held the winning ticket for the $315 million Mega Millions jackpot but they still came in to work, a company spokeswoman said. The jackpot was the second-richest prize won with a single ticket in the history of lotteries in the United States. The winners, who had chipped in $3 apiece and bought 21 tickets, came into work Wednesday at the medical center in Garden Grove anyway, said Kaiser spokeswoman Barbara Shipnuck. They

Free or Not?
Hmmm....First off, I am confused by using the term inner circle - seems to me that is something entirely separate and has been around as a pay service long before Casho started Fourensics The 2 services should not be intermixed.2nd, the guy asked for help. Is there someone here that did not know he wanted help with putting together a system that eventually he would charge for? Not that he would charge or advertise here at Lottery Post, but rather at his own website. I don't see where he le

Winning lottery ticket purchased with stolen credit card
I agree. Credit card companies do not lay claim to items purchased with their cards. In addition, if there is nothing in writing in their credit card agreement stating rules regarding the purchase of lottery/gaming tickets, and there is no written law in the state where the ticket was purchased prohibiting tickets being purchased by a credit card (not just what the Police say), then she can certainly fight it and win. She now has the money to pay the credit card company back the money owed t

Why so much greed?
I only decided to register because of a negative attitude I saw here. I wished to add my 2 cents about it. The lottery sells dreams. It really is a tax upon the poor. For every retired librarian playing the slots to alleve (sp) her depression from losing everything she had saved up a lifetime for to Hurricane Katrina, there are going to be thousands of others who also put their last couple dollars into trying to win that pot -- and lost so that she would win.Now we have a man who claims to h
