Should California win the next 6 PB jackpots, would you shout " Conspiracy? "
A few months back everyone was whining about New Jersey winning a bunch of PB jackpots. Now its California's turn to hit some jackpots. Now everyone screams conspiracy? Lay off the Crystal-Meth.

Should California win the next 6 PB jackpots, would you shout " Conspiracy? "
California will win its share of jackpots every year but I think it would be a stretch to say it will win all the time. Even california has times in powerball and mega millions were they can not even create a 5+0 winner for draws. So just because cali has two big jackpots in the last year does not mean they will win all the time or even six in a row.-weshar75

How Many Folks Gave Up On Powerball When It Went To $2?
I actually didn't really start playing PB until the switch because MM was having higher jackpots for better odds. Once PB started getting bigger jackpots I started to play. This year I'm going to try to play a little less, since there are other $2 games here with better odds for the prizes. I will probably play PB maybe 3 or 4 times (depending on the prize ). And I never use Power Play.

NY's Lotto no match for Powerball, Mega Millions
Ny and NJ need to fix their current pick 6 lottery. Both have small jackpots that take forever to grow into anything worth playing for. Look at the California Super Lotto, it doesn't pay as much as Power Ball or Mega but it does have some decent size jackpots that are attractive when you see them.

NY's Lotto no match for Powerball, Mega Millions
Lotto is still losing its mojo. New York's venerable twice-weekly Lotto drawing continues its long-term decline in an age of multi-state mega jackpots. Even as overall lottery revenues grew, receipts from Lotto dropped from $137.5 million in 2005 to a projected $44 million for the state fiscal year ending March 31, according to Gov. Andrew Cuomo's recent budget proposal. Lotto is simply less alluring than the six-figure jackpots of Powerball and Mega Millions, which are sold around the nat

never play quick picks
I read 70% of all Jackpots are Quickpicks. That just means 70% of all tickets are Quickpicks. Richard Lustigs claims he won 7 major jackpots. I wonder how much he spend in order to achive this feat.

Why is the new cash option so low for MM?
I'm pretty sure MM has a reserve fund, but they don't need to steal from their jackpots as much because of how low their jackpots start relative to Powerball's. MM SHOULD have a reserve fund though, because their cash prizes are set prizes. I think their reserve fund is $50 million, because I've read in their rules at one point (unless it's changed recently), that the total prize liability cap is the lesser of 300% of sales or 50% of sales plus $50 million.

New Mega Millions Game
Back in the day, many lottery players would stand in line for a chance at a $30-$50M jackpot. Now that many states have those sizes jackpots with better odds of winning them than MM or PB, they would rather complain about games designed to produce half billion dollars jackpots being rigged or too hard to win.
