Jake649, I hope it rolls again. If no MM Jackpot winner for tonight, it will roll to 162 million. If it rolls to a new record, will it set a new record if it rolls again?

And of course as noted in another thread...Powerball set a new record for having the lowest cash value ever. All these new records are nothing more than smoke and mirrors desigined to hype the game and sucker those who get excited by so called Record Breaking jackpots. The reality is the extended 30 year backloaded annuity (which nobody takes) is a bogus marketing plan that covers up the reduced cash value. dvidva, if you ever do record jackpots of the World thread, make sure only include the top 15 with cash option first. If you ever do record jackpots of the North America thread, make sure only include the top 15 for cash value and top 15 in annunity (separate).

Mega Millions lottery jackpot raised to $212 millionReply
I hope Mega Millions takes back their North American Jackpot record soon. Powerball jackpot last week and Mega Millions lotto sales help contribute Mega Millions growing faster. If it rolls, I think they'll set a new roll 14 record which currently stands at 239 million.

Jake649, MM Jackpot was raised from 170 to 175 million in the previous draw due to strong CA sales again. Therefore, if MM sets a new 12 roll record, they have to beat 175 million. The record for roll 14 is 225 million in terms of new version Jake649. However, I hope it reaches 240 million.

Odd is how the game with the longest odds hasn't even come close to the record. By all accounts Megamillions should have had a large pot by now but it hasn't. It still is number two, the record being held by Euromillions which has only 1:76 million odds.

Powerball based on sales could of had a $405 million annuity jackpot this time around with out the cap. So I think that Powerball will have no problem making the $390 million record mark the next time it rolls past $300 million to the next record. I hope that this run happens in 06 in the next 6 months.-weshar75
