Todd, do the number of LP members increase after the big jackpot causes all the madness?

Powerball Sets A New Record
Jake649, if no one wins PB Jackpot, it will only roll 25 million more at a time, but it will increase the Match 5 bonus pool if no winner comes out. I hope PB sets a new roll record just like CA SLP had rolled 20 times from November 12, 2005 to January 21, 2006.

$420 million of lottery jackpots in two days
The MUSL says they slow the growth of record Powerball jackpots to increase the number of times they can claim a record jackpot, since some players only play when there is a "record," and if Powerball hit a record of $700 million, it would miss chances to have records at $400 million, $500 million, etc. However, what the MUSL overlooked is if they don't take the records away from themselves, Mega Millions will, since MM does not slow the growth of its record jackpots.

what does a prediction formula look like?
I'm looking for a formula that would have covered the winning combinations 10% of the time in a group as small as one hundred thousand possible combinations o so. I don't think anyone can come up with a prediction formula but it may be possible to uncover a pattern or condition that exist 10% of the time that would include only a small potion of the possible combinations. By playing combinations in those parameters, one would increase the chance of winning when that condition occurs.

Powerball lottery jackpot reaches $250 million
If it rolls it should hit 365 (the cap). Actual sales would push it to around 370-375 so a small prize increase to those hitting 5 + 0. If it rolls than it would easily hit 390 (again the cap) with a much larger bonus to those hitting 5 + 0. There is no point in playing powerplay if it hits 390 since the added bonus would already be very large.

Calif. lottery sales up 7 percent
So good for them especially since the MM had such a tumultous start. I always thought that their sales would increase with a game like MM because there are so many people in the state who wanted to support a game like MM. Now we need a USA Lottery of all fifty states! Many all over the US had family and friends deavasted by Katrina. We need a national lottery funded for natural disasters, I think.

State Tax on Lottery Win
If you're going to bet on the lottery, or any other ganbling event, you should start planning/researching your strategy now - not after you win. (If you don't plan on winning, why play?) It may be too late if you wait. Most people plan on how to get to work every day, but never give a second thought about a multi-million dollar increase in their lifestyle - even though they spend money to win.

State Tax on Lottery Win
You win in New Jersey, and win in New York - you will be double-tapped; atleast. As I've said before, where there is a law maker, there will be a tax collector. They react to an increase in income the way maggots react to garbage. They want everything they can get.

CA SLP
Here's the problem JimmySand9, CA's population is at 37+ million and CA SLP Jackpot odds are at 41.5 million to 1. That's why CA should keep the 5+1 bonus game. If they go back to 6/49 or 6/51, more people will keep winning. I want computerized drawings OUT. I would suggest CA SLP increase the odds of winning the jackpot by increasing a few WBs, but keep odds of winning at around 1 in 25.

Lotto South
That appears to be the case. The current prize is 3.5 M. I wish I lived closer to West Va. Hot Lotto is a better game with nearly the same prize amounts and lower odds. Maryland's Multi-Match doesn't appeal to me. You're forced into accepting 2 quick-picks for every line you select. You're not allowed to construct the 3-line sets to increase your chances to match the drawing.
