Fibonacci Numbers
Sure, but you are limited to only a max of 9 numbers as most lotteries do not go beyond 55 to include the 89.
And if you are going to use both 1's you would need one of them to obviously be the number pulled from the 'seperate pool' such as either the meganumber or the red ball.
It would have about the same chance as those who play 'birthday numbers', except that instead of 31 numbers you would be playing a combo of 8 different numbers (9 if the lottery goes up to 55).

Dumb Question
You get $250K for each line that matches 5 white balls. Five lines on one ticket? You get 1.25 mil. Exactly the same as if you had bought your lines on 5 separate tickets.
However, California is always parimutuel, so you could win more per line, or less, depending on how many winners are sold at that prize level statewide.
Most other states also have a limit on how much they can pay out for each prize level. If it so happens that there are a bunch of 5+0 winners in the state, they make the

Is Mirlande Wilson an Attention Seeking Fraud, or Have the Winning Ticket?
This just in from MSNBC news (three hours ago). When NBC reporter asked Mirlande if she would share the jackpot winnings with her
lottery pool, she admitted that I lost the ticket .
Any strong supporters remaining for this Marvelous McDonald's Maniac???

Is Mirlande Wilson an Attention Seeking Fraud, or Have the Winning Ticket?
Tough call Mac....While every aspect of this women's involvement creates suspicion/doubt , there is the video that shows a male did buy the QP ticket at the 7:15 time frame (which I didn't see). While her statements clearly are unique and erratic. I don't think her common sense level is anywhere near average. She COULD BE the sole winner if the male did purchase the ticket for her alone. That will be the key to solving this mystery. Yes I agree with you 100% it could have been a happy ending fo

Is Mirlande Wilson an Attention Seeking Fraud, or Have the Winning Ticket?
If that is the case, this will not go well for her. With all the security protocols and people talking, it wouldn't take much of a break to expose
her schemes. And if this is the case, it is sad because Mirlande and her 15 other lottery pool members, all could have easily retired for life off
the $105 million after taxes windfall. This could have gone so differently, and had a happy ending were it not for one greedy person.

In group lottery wins, splitting the spoils tough
Stoopid office pool won $4 on Friday's MM, so 'leader' says she'll buy 2 PB for Wed draw. I just remembered it... and no ticket copies. Dammit.
The only reason I put my $2 in was that there are only 25 people in the office... everyone joined + 3 work from home employees. For $2 I wasn't going to be the only one that HAD to show up for work on Monday....
yes, i got my own tickets.

In group lottery wins, splitting the spoils tough
My true advice, honestly, would be don't do a pool, Shane said.
The fact that he gave the modifier 'true' to the word advice makes me wonder about his advice when he doesnt 'modify' it. Yuck. Lawyers are interesting creatures no matter how you cut it.
This story highlights why I do NOT do lottery-pools!

Maryland Lottery officials inundated with Mega Millions rumors
Lottery says rumors of a McDonald's employee winning Mega Millions most likely false
Maryland lottery officials were inundated Monday with hundreds of calls fueled by rumors about the identity of the Baltimore County shopper who will share in the $656 million Mega Millions jackpot.
Everyone says they know who the winner is, said lottery spokeswoman Carole Everett. It's their cousin. It's a person who works at their doctor's office. It's the guy up the street who mows the lawn. We're not g

Maryland Mega Millions winner already in pool dispute
That makes it even more interesting, along with the info the article gave about it being a male who bought the ticket and her claim saying she isn't completely sure if she won and that the numbers looked similar.
I guess it could be that she now knows she was some numbers off or read something wrong and is in fact not a winner, but she's even more scared now to tell any of the pool members they/she didn't win.
This is more exciting than the draw itself.
