Crist wins Florida Governor's race.
Given Florida's population base and some of the jackpot amounts that have been reached you might be better off not going multi-state.
A lot of people couldn't wait for California to join Mega Millions and the publicized $500,000,000 jackpots haven't been seen yet- but the game changed much the worse for the players.

Being Prepared
strictly addicted to multiple drawing tickets. i don't like standing in line when the jackpot gets large. now the large jackpots are so common no one stands in line until 250 million or more.
MULTIPLE DRAWINGS ARE THE WAY TO GO.

Ridiculously low non-jackpot prize payouts have me fed up
The secondary prizes in games like PowerBall and MegaMillions are basically the undercard. The jackpot prize is the main draw. It's the huge edge taken on the secondary prize payouts that makes those giant jackpots possible. If you want bigger payouts for prizes comparable to the secondary prizes in a giant jackpot game, you should play scratch-offs and/or the daily games like Pick 3 and Pick 4. If you want to play for a giant jackpot, you'll just have to live with taking a beating on the second

Winning Money vs Earning Money
I think it's all because we have this silly mass belief that says that wealth shouldn't come without hard work and/or struggling. Suddenly someone wins a lottery jackpot, and it seems they did nothing to get it except spend a buck.
But that's what Lottery jackpots are all about !

Britain may become the online gambling capital
I said: (This is why i feel there should have like a stock market or forex currency exchange were people that become rich and make their money multiply)....And i meant to say: (this is why i feel there should have like a stock market or forex currency exchange where people that become rich CAN make their money multiply...)
Also, i don't know but i would think that online gambling includes online lottery, but I feel that not many people play free lottos anyways, so how are they going to play

To MUSL and the Mega group
Unfortunately, I think one day Powerball and Mega Millions tickets will be $2. If that happens, I will quit playing Mega Millions and play only Powerball again (I currently play both). Also, I do agree that a $2 ticket price may actually slow jackpot growth, since it may cut ticket sales by more than 1/2. Many players that buy only one ticket will not play as much or not play at all anymore, while the "system" players who regularly buy many tickets will probably only buy half as much. The ja

Stream of Jackpot Winners
The lottoreport at the website of the same name by Dawn Nettles of Texas shows the PowerBall and MegaMillions sales and jackpots amounts side by side and by just eyeballing that report it looks like this is the first time both lotteries have had such runs at the same time, however MM had a similar run in Jan.'06.
I've been thinking about adding jackpot information to my data files and adding a feature in my program to look for these types of occurrences.

E! Television to air 'Curse of the Lottery' Sunday
I have a problem with the media making a big deal out of people spending all of there winnings in a few years. If your including winners that only take in $200-300K, then of course that's going to go fast. I have a spreadsheet of what I would spend a state lotto win on and it would be gone fairly quickly. I would buy a decent car and boat, pay my debts, do some work on my house, take a vacation and it would be about gone. Let's face it, 99% of lottery jackpots don't pay retirement money. E

Fixed Lotteries
Since I play quick picks, it really doesn't matter to me if the big games are "actively playing against big 2nd place prizes."
However, I know at least Powerball isn't, because twice last year, more than 60 players had match 5+0 tickets for a draw. In fact, for this reason, Powerball's cash jackpots have been slightly lower than 30.28855% of sales - their rules state they can deduct up to 2% of sales to fund the "set prize reserve" which enables them to pay the fixed prizes when there's more

real drawings and predetermined draws
And this is where it can get weird how do we know were seeing the real drawing or a pre determined drawing like when the are testing the balls and machines a pre draw could easily be recorded to suite them and when they go on air put the drawing of their choice as live....
four4me made this statement in the fixed lotteries topic so i hope he doesn't mind me quoting him.he made me think real hard on this.best thing that has made me think in a while as far as the lottery goes.they could use thi
