A present to family that says if I win powerball, I'll give you X%. Does that work?
andymnfun, If I buy 1,000 tickets over 10 years, I have a 1 in 1,952,491 in winning the powerball, but hey, crazier things have happened. No, you will have had 1,000 tickets that were all up against 1 in 195,249,054 odds against winning the Powerball. Only one set of numbers is drawn, thus that one set wins if anyone has it and every other set loses. The same exact thing happens for every drawing. RJOH, What you say above is true, but it's not unheard of for people who are given a

Quantum Physics affecting the lottery?
RJOh, I would guess most states are doing as you describe, which is good. What I'm more concerned about are the computer generated results. If the winning Draws are truly random, it doesn't matter much how the tickets are generated. I only seed my RNG (A Pseudo Random Sequencer) once at the beginning of a run, but I call it internally a random number of times using the system clock (as you suggested above) before returning the current RN to the calling program. Have you checked out my late

Fooled by Randomness
Hello Rjoh, No. I would first have to work my method to get the winning numbers and then I do the last digit method to get an accurate number group. If my method throw off the numbers by one number, it would throw off the number group as well. I just wanted to prove to Jim that my methods are legit and it works and that Nicolos Taleb has an amatuer way of looking at lottery numbers or randomness for that matter. If you give me the last digits of a number already played, I can

POLL - On The Whole Do The Lotteries Provide Truly Random Numbers?
RJOh, If you follow the Thread at https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/218174/1736396 through to its completion, you may reconsider your last paragraph above. --Jimmy

Random Observations & Things To Ponder
RJoh, Most people live paycheck to paycheck. That doesn't mean they can't make their house payments, buy food, or pay for utlities. Heat, eat, and taxes means no other debt, no mortgage, no car payments, no credit card bills. When all is said and done, the average working American is deeper in debt at the end of the year, and that excludes a house and car payment. That is a large part of the attraction of the lottery, it's the working slobs only real hope of ever escaping the trap .

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
I said what i said because i had too this post is getting way to long. I knew RJOh would lend a hand being a senior member and he has a good program for using all the balls. But i agree one drawing isn't a real evaluation of the differences between quick picks versus self picks. Maddogs mega million and powerball challenge are a testament to that, many of us use self picks and this challenge has went on for a long time yet no one has matched all 5 white balls and the mega or powerball n
