Strike 1 against Powerball
Barely into August; I certainly can't see why Powerball shouldn't reach $100M+ at least once if not more times yet in '06. For that matter, there's no reason at all why we can't realistically hope for record level jackpots prior to the new year. Combined with the beauty of the Powerplay option, I personally feel that PB is nearly the perfect mega-game. good luck to all

Mega Millions lottery jackpot won ... again
Now if only I can find the time to get some slips and find my way to DC....afterall it could be that PB has been waiting for me. I'm sure they (PB) are extremely happy. They've gotta be in the office giving each other high fives everytime MM gets hit before it gets to $100mill. If i'm not mistaken, a majority of the PB states are breaking all kinds of sales records due to the high PB jackpots and the low MM hits.

Top 5 Predictors
while there have not been any jackpot winners here on lottery post there have been a few pick 5 winners.st. germain and lucky larry i think are two that come to mind off the top of my head.st. germain has hit the pick 5 not once but twice for jackpots.there are some pretty smart people here.we had a guy here called bigloooser who actually had everybody's attention because he was picking at least five numbers out of the powerball drawing and he had a successful system but pulled a vanishing act a

Oklahoma Powerball lottery winner claims prize
I agree with both of you. The article seems to indicate that a Trust will protect the names of the winners. In FL I've seen jackpots claimed in a Trust, but the names of the winners are still printed in the news release. However, as RJOh writes, these people need to be careful and button their lips if they want to keep their secret hidden from neighbors and relatives. Still, not announcing the names in the paper is a great help and, if I ever win a jackpot, that would certainly save me a lot of

Mega Millions lottery jackpot won ... again
For the sixth time in eleven weeks the Mega Millions jackpot was won, this time for $31 million. The string of winning jackpots is great for those who prefer to spread the wealth, but disappointing for huge jackpot hunters. Not that $31 million is a small sum of money, but it's not what the inventors of Mega Millions envisioned when they constructed the game with 176 million-to-1 odds of winning. The other Mega Millions jackpots recently won include: $49 million on July 18th $23 mill

Winner of $45M N.Y. Lotto jackpot to be revealed today
I wouldn't expect you to say anything other than what you did. However, I'm very happy that most people do not go around embodying such negativity all the time. I'll bet the winner is not so worried about your negative comments. NY Lotto is turning out some nice jackpots!

Getting Wacked by Mega Millions
Greg, There are games with better odds like WV Cash25 (6/25) but the top prize is $25,000 and matching 3 pays $1, you can't have better odds and larger jackpots. Ohio RC5 (5/39) had a top prize of $402,000 tonight and matching 3 pays $10, but matching 5/5 isn't easy either. There are lots of games with better odds than MegaMillions if you're not playing for a $12M+ jackpot.

Ohio looking to replace Lot O' Play
Looks like they may be doing what I predicted they would do when they replaced SuperLottoPlus with Lot'O Play. Wait a year or so and reintroduce SuperLotto with modifications like a lower starting jackpot, reduced bump amount and drop the bonus number. In the old days when Ohio 6/49 was the best game in the area and people from the surrounding states played it too, starting jackpots of $4M and minimum bumps of $2-4M after each drawing was affordable, but as the surrounding states got their own
