Mega Millions winner forced to split jackpot with co-workers
Kumo, you wrote: Personally I had planned to give everyone in the pool $1 Million each if my personal set of numbers won. Kumo, I don't understand why you planned that amount; as huge Gift Taxes are collected [by the U.S.A. Federal Government] from U.S.A. Citizens who Gift more than $13K limit, annually, to a person who isn't their Legal Spouse. Finally, not common knowledge is that all of one's Gifts to people must not total exceed $1M (total to all people) during the gifter's lifetime!

Mega Millions winner forced to split jackpot with co-workers
[O]ut of 1,090 times Lopes played, he spent only $12 on 12 numbers the day of the jackpot, an indication he was playing for the pool, which always bought 12 numbers. Well, that's easy enough to figure out. [T]he jury knocked to deliver its verdict after 2 1/2 hours of deliberations. Unless they had to look through all 1,090 tickets, that's 2 1/4 hours longer than this needed to take.

NJ man sued over $38.5M lottery ticket
I think what HaveABall was asking is have you ever had anyone sign their name to the roster, but not contribute the stated donation amount in order to participate since you said the envelope is unmanned which prevents corroboration or verification that each signed person actually contributed the stated amount. So think about this: most lottery pools operate on a share basis meaning a person could be a part of the pool if they meet the minimum contribution amount, but one who contributes a multip

Take5 NY
New Sets for 3-15: Power numbers 6 36: Remember that Set A uses numbers from the 23 numbers from my tag line. Set B uses numbers from 1-39 pool. Tonight I like Set A better because tonight's numbers only had 1 number from the 23. I expect to see at least 3 to 5 numbers from the 23 group tonight. GOOD LUCK TO THOSE WHO PLAY!

2 W.Va. veterans pull off incredible Powerball win worth $14M
It depends the rules of each individual state lottery. Since WVA is paying out $14 their cap may be higher or they have no rule limiting the number of 5+0 wins. The KY site says: The set prize amounts listed above are based on the probable number of winners sharing the prize pool. In some cases, these prizes may be paid on a pari-mutuel basis, and could be lower than published prize levels. In this case, the Powerball set prize and Power Play prize amounts will be announced by the Powerball

Very handy for quick look on the go
Very interesting, the premesis of this system is for folks to evolve or build on without bordering them with lot of statistics. The relation of key/numbers is founded on 'sequential positions of digits related to the Pool size',you have to read stuff on 'Certainty on Randomness'(u can google this subject).

Buying More Tickets Does Not Increase Your Odds.
Thrifty is right, each individual ticket (one line of numbers) is up against the very same odds, 175,000,000 to one. You can't increase or decrease the Odds without changing the game matrix. The enriched Powerball game will still have participants choosing their first five numbers from a pool of 59, but the numbers available for the Powerball itself will drop to 35 from 39. That will raise the odds of winning to 1 in 175 million from 1 in 192 million. It does not matter how ma
