Mega Millions Sets A New Record
I hope MM Jackpot continues to set new records and finally shatter the North American record set by PB at 365 million. The reason MM Jackpot set a new record Jake649 because it grew more than expected because of brisk sales and the California impact at 100+ million.

$400 Million Powerball ?
The cap has already gone into effect because it's in record territory. Whenever the jackpot is a new record for Powerball, the jackpot is capped.

What is the largest Jackpot ever?
If EuroMillions cash value hit 219 million at one time as biggest prize ever, how big must PB's Jackpot need to be if cash value hit 219 million? Well, PB has hit a new North American jackpot annunity record, but not cash record for North America. Mega Millions currently holds that distinction.

Is the Lottery (PB/MM) corrupt?
Mega Millions could still get a record level jackpot without California. I highly doubt it'll revert back to the 5/52+1/52 matrix even if it lost California. Remember Powerball broke its previous (annuity) jackpot record even without the added support of another big state after the MUSL changed its matrix.

CA SLP sets a new roll record
The 20 roll record jackpot started 11/12/2005 and ended on 1/21/05. Here's the jackpot record low run [in millions]: 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 18, 21, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 65, 71, 77, 84. Lucky for this family choosing their own numbers and took cash value of about $33 million after taxes. Everyone, I want to know how many dollars this family bought for CA SLP?

Highest State Lottery Jackpot?
Before you rip me a new one, please note that I did use the search function before starting this thread. I'm just wondering if anyone knows what the record is for the highest lottery jackpot for an individual state. I know the records for PowerBall MegMillions. I would imagine that California is up there on the list with its record high of $193M for CA Super Lotto. Anyone know?

mega millions and powerball jackpot poll
I picked maybe. It's all the luck of the draw. It is hard to predict which one will break its previous record first - on the one hand, Powerball generally has the better chance of rolling over on any drawing because of its lower sales to odds ratio, but on the other hand, the Mega Millions jackpot does not have to survive as much drawings to get to a new record.

MM Jackpot hit at $88million
This was only the ninth Mega Millions jackpot awarded this year, which tie the record low amount of MM jackpots awarded in a single calendar year. That record was set in 2000.Before the $35 million MM jackpot hit last month, MM did not have a jackpot hit under $100 million since December 3, 2004 ($24 million).
