12 Michigan women + 2 men share $12.7M lottery jackpot
Michigan's Classic 47 is a 30 year annuity, so $12.7 million is going to be about half...according to the Michigan lottery website. Half is about $6,350,000, split by 14 and it's about $450k per person before taxes.
Not really worth a stretch limo, but how else are you going to get 14 people from Newberry to Lansing? Rent a 15 passenger van? Choice between a cool stretch limo or the van that makes you look like you're riding the short bus?
Congrats to the winners...may they all spend

The Official Scratch Off Winners Info Thread!
Thanks! I'd love to find the $3 mil too! I know about the annuity, which is fine by me :D $25 is higher than I'd usually pay for a ticket but I figured my chances were better since it was a new game. The store I usually get tickets from is still on their first pack, whereas they're already on 3rd or 4th pack of Money Plus.
My winning card had a Bonus of $100, and I got a Minecar (10x) above a $25. So I thought it would get me $350, but the cashier told me it was worth $400 (I think there was

Self-described 'lottery freak' buys $88M Powerball ticket
Powerball has always had lower cash payouts then Mega Millions... if you look at a similar Mega Millions payout at the same amount, it's well over 10-20m more.
The current MM payout at 68m Lotto would put me at roughly 29m after taxes... that's 20m less, and 4 years less on the annuity if I took that (26 years for MegaMillions, 30 for Powerball).
You'd think Powerball, having more then twice the number of states, would have greater cash payouts... wouldn't you?

S.D. rancher claims $232M Powerball lottery jackpot
At age 23 he should have chosen the annuity. imo
$232 million would make even the most god fearing person heart to stray.
I hope he gets lots of advisors to help him.

Is Arizona cursed?
I've been living in Arizona for the past 12 years, and I've been playing the Arizona lotteries for about the last 5 years. One thing that you should realize is that all of the Arizona state lotteries are played using computer generated random number generators (RNG's). Arizona uses RNG's because it's cheaper than using the actual balls (maintanance is a lot cheaper). And yes, I do believe that Arizona is long overdue to win the PowerBall Lottery.
The best that I ever did was to get 5 out of 6

Bill limiting lottery prizes of people on public aid fails
Although I think that the end proposal was not encompasing enough, I think Rep. Stacey Campfield's FOCUS is on folks receiving government aid (anotherwards, monies from the annual tax payers within our country) who are spending perhaps more than $10 a week on lottery tickets ... not folks playing with less of the 'free money' from other people's forced kindnesses (taxes) towards them!
As far as jail prisoners goes, if I were placed in jail rapidly AFTER the date of winning the jackpot -- I w

Nevada woman hits $33 million jackpot at casino
You are 100% correct about it being an annuity payout! And the kicker, it's payable over a period of 20 years! And here is something else to think about those so call progressive jackpots! Did you know for every dollar taken in they only put 10 cents toward the jackpot? Yes, it's true. But the jackpot for the one she hit starts at 10 million and goes from there. So, for every 3 dollars only 30 cents went toward the jackpot! What a scam that is! Just think how much had to be played in-order to ge
