Is it worth going to an anonymous state?
i don't see the point in going to an anonymous state, if anonymous states don't win as often as 'you will be revealed' states. it's all about seeding, and which states have the best 'seeds' is it not? the drawings are not really random. and who's to know which 'seeds' will pop up most frequently (has a study been done here, of which states win the most out of all prizes, not just jackpots)? i wouldn't worry about it. if you're smart before winning big money, you'll be smart after winning big m

Your lottery pool won,but you didn't play
I don't play in pools for this reason!! I think you get lucky like this once mabey twice in your entire life, so if it happens when you forgot your dollar to throw in the pool your out of luck. I don't think I would have to find another job because the winners would eventually quit anyways. But then again I would also laugh/cry because of the irony. I always cringe when I have to stand in line with everyone when the jackpots get huge because after the When I win I'm going to buy conversatio

Lotto South- Potential New Draw Days
I'm not really sure what the Kentucky Lottery's reasonings were for joining Lotto South. Maybe lottery players in Kentucky aren't playing Lotto South as much as they anticipated.I wouldn't be surprised if the reason Kentucky's dropping it is because Kentucky players rarely win. Georgia and Virginia almost always win the jackpots. Of course, Kentucky lottery players are actually in an enviable position, because most of the money that raises the jackpot amount is coming from Georgia and Virgini

The most important question on LP
Yes..........I justed VOTED!!!!Yes..........I voted Quick-Pick and my ###### on the vote counter was 13....a favorite # of mine for whatever reason???? Out of the 40 QP's bought thisday.........no mega balls contained #13, but it was sprinkled thru the W balls. No MB's repeated........that was good but, a lot of balls were the same in theW ball group. Usually, buy $20 to $40 on JACKPOTs....today bought a $40 Quick-Pick $100 would bee a lotto better....BUT, remember, A USA DOLLAR and DREAMis A

OH Lot 'O Play- Drawings
NoCompLotto wrote: AFAIK, the jackpot has not been hit since the game was introduced. I thought the odds were supposed to be BETTER< not worse. Shows you why the payouts are so low - no one can hit the JP. As I stated in an earlier post, the facts will speak for themselves over time. The odds of winning is 1:75,287,520 but because you get twelve ways to win it's actually 75,287,520/12 = 1:6,273,960 for a $2 ticket and the SLP was 1:13,983,816 for a $1 ticket which was actually 1:6,991,908

Annuity/record jackpot
Why want a dollar amount broken? Why not want a number of jackpots won record broken? I would enjoy winning a smaller jackpot, then reading about some one else winning a monster jackpot. The sooner a win, the sooner the following jackpot can start. The sooner a new jackpot starts, the sooner another winner. Wanting to throw away dollar(s) after dollar(s) week after week, for a record, makes no sense to me.I am in this to win a jackpot. I don't care about the size!

Oklahama Lottery's Pick 3 game takes off
Most daily numbers game in the Western US don't sell very well - especially when compared to the East Coast and MidWest. CA leads the pack at about 7 cents weekly per capita - the rest do about 2 or 3 cents in Pick 3 and I can't even think of a Western state that offers Pick 4 (Oregon?). CO should consider adding the game. It's cheap to operate and the sales would probably be pretty much incremental. These stats that are starting up are smart to start with Pick 3. People that are new to a s

Mega Millions lottery jackpot raised to $262 million
Even if you could just walk into the lottery office and write a check in exchange for every posible combination, you'd probably have to be a moron to do it. The last jackpot of 2004 was split between 3 winners. In 2003 nearly half of the jackpots were split between two winners. There can't be very many people who have managed to accumulate $200 million and are stupid enough to risk a 1 in 4 chance of losing $100 million against a 3 in 4 chance of making $50 million. Of course it could make for

Quickpick or QuickRIP?
It would have been nice to invest the money back into the community after all the hurricanes last year. I think that $22M was a couple of years ago. Phrases like unclaimed jackpot sound almost like an oxymoron to me. So strange .. the only logical explanation is that someone died, but maybe it's still sitting in a glove box.Just want to add: Guess I can't complain about all the winning tickets in Miami. Just checked and the $2M Mega Money and $9M Lotto jackpots this week were both won here
