Lottery's biggest loser: Albany man passed on office pool that won $319M jackpot
If you read the article, it said they asked him several times if he wanted to get in for the draw that night, he kept saying No he didn't feel lucky. So I don't Say no to any part of the Pot. We had a pool in our Maintenance Dept. on 3rd shift I would go to Illinois at the time for tickets, it was made clear money had to be paid before I went for the tickets, everyone put in the same amount, we made up copies for everyone with the tickets front and backs after everyone signed the tickets that

Worker skips office Mega pool, loses share of $319M
I'm not saying anyone should get a hand out. But yes, I believe even how long the person in front of you takes has an affect on things. I'm just saying that multiple things happened for them to get the winning numbers and his opting out was a part of that, just as I'm sure many other things were. I've even seen the same thoughts posted here by others about the whole clerk pushed the button at the right time sort of thing, I'm not a believer in giving a clerk some money just because they pushe

Worker skips office Mega pool, loses share of $319M
I don't know, I believe that something small affects everything. In this case this person opting out of the drawing affected the time the lottery pool leader was at the store to get tickets. The action of opting out may have caused many other actions throughout the day, thus definitely giving different numbers when the clerk hit the QP button. I've had such small things affect things for me in the past, so it's not too crazy to think. If they won via a self pick it would be a differen

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
When you use a system sold by a vendor all you know about it is what its creator shares with you, for all you know it could be nothing more than a RNG generating combinations that fit a particular matrix. Chances are it will generate different sets of combinations every times you use it. Without knowing the logic it use to pick combinations you are at the mercy of the advertisements that convinced you to invest in it. Players who create their own systems know the logic used to make the predic

group buying
I do not run a lotto pool for profit. Lotto pools are not only perfectly legal but every single lottery jurisdiction in the US and Canada promote lotto pools and give free advice and forms to help people organize lotto pools. A large percentage of lottery jackpots are won by lotto pools. But I have yet to find one case where a butler service won and paid a jackpot. I have done the research and found nothing.

I understand you're trying to defend your lottery ticket pooling website, but I speak only in facts and deep experience. You should not ask the question if you're going to blindly shoot down whatever the response is. If you did any kind of legal research you would know about the Pick-A-State ruling. You might want to do some research come to think of it. I would say the illegality of running a pool online for profit makes it much more of a risk of not getting your jackpot -- or even your t

Seven Albany state workers won $319 million lottery prize
Of course, retailers do not enter into lottery contracts based on the contingency of selling a jackpot winner. Their primary income will be the 6% on ticket sales, but also the 0.5% of top prizes is across the board on most draw games.(up to $1,000,000 max) The merits of the larger top prize selling bonus are debatable, but the higher profits can give them more of an incentive to increase sales and to actually want their customers to win. That can help them with a positive attitude with a smile

Winning Mega Millions lottery ticket worth $319M sold in NY
Being in Albany, maybe it's a pool with Governor Cuomo and a bunch of his rich, fat-cat friends. I got a feeling the filthy-rich Senator Schumer and the multi-millionaire Clintons and the billionaire Mayor Bloomberg are in on it too. Just a hunch. Power to the People!

$304 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery in rare territory
That's right..! me and my cousins each pool $10.00 for a total of 150.00 for last night game and only won $4.00 bucks! matching only 2 of the megaball. With all that ticket we should atleast get like $20.00 back. I should have stay with the $5.00 that I bought for myself at first. Now I wasted another 10 which should have been for this draw. 304 is a lucky number! 3 + 0 + 4 = Lucky 7
