POLL: 'Moral' obligation for a jackpot winner
Does a jackpot winner have a 'moral' or ethical obligation to leave their job, in order to free that job up for someone who really needs it?
I'm talking a sizeable jackpot that would let someone retire if they wanted to.
We're not talking about a business owner here, but someone working hourly wage or salary at a normal run of the mill blue collar or white collar job.
I'm thinking they should leave that job to inded free it up for someone who needs it, as they don't anymore, and also i

Honesty About Your Desire For Wealth
Thinking about some of the discussion threads, polls and t.v. stories about lottery winners and losers, I asked myself whether or not LP members would be honest about whether or not they had a money phobia. There is no way of really determining whether or not LP members are poor money mangers, materialistic, suckers waiting to be taken to the cleaners, or not. Like people's honesty about whether money can buy happiness. That was a great poll, but I wonder how many people understand the root

Which would you....
Poor and miserable is a reality for far too many people. I'm sure they would all love to have a shot at being rich and miserable.
The poll should have also had the option of rich and happy and poor and miserable.
Decent poll, pacattack, but it implies all rich are miserable. I don't think that's the case.

Pressure to win the lottery?
I voted Yes because I think the poll is asking if we feel under pressure to make a lot of money quickly. Some of us are overwhelmed with bills or financial worries or just feel that the lottery might be one of the only ways to ever enjoy retirement in our old age. However, I totally agree that nobody should depend on winning, since it's a big gamble. The only way to be secure is to work hard and save your money unless you've got rich relatives. Even then you might not get a dime! This is a

Fresh Questions Anybody?
They have to be repeated at one time or another, because how many different questions can there really be? I voted for the anonymity question, since that's the one I've seen since I first joined, but I suppose all of them have been repeated several times over the past year. The most common debate seems to be Annuity vs Cash. The most common poll seems to be what would you do if you won in one form or another or why do you play? etc. As far as favorite poster goes, I never even considered
