Mega Millions lottery jackpot increased to $256 million
Way to go MM. I did not think you would let PB steal your thunder! You go. You have prompted me to join a lottery pool, MM. Now the odds will be better for me. Good thing the pool wants to do what I want to do with my winnings. Without reading the stories, we have a contract! Press, be cautious, honor our privacy. We will just give ya' what is required by the MM rules as far as publicity. Now Mega Millions, if you beat the record's highest jackpot, this pool of winners will make you the

NY lottery pool members sue over Mega Millions jackpot

News like that you share with your wife/family, etc., not co-workers who 9

Just won $500 on Ohio Pick 3
Pinback...I appreciate your response, however, I dont see how changing the numbers is a good thing. I do not buy the argument. I am looking for the best consistent choices. If they are the best choices they should remain the best choices for a given number of draws. And plus, my state does not share the jackpot on pick 3 or pick 4. (at least not at this point in time). I dont really care how many other people have the winning numbers. That is the lottery's problem; not mine.Believe me, I

Mega Millions Office Pool Advice
Quote: Originally posted by JAG331 on July 01, 2004Now, since this is my system, would it be legal to charge a premium? Such as, I get 50% of all winnings, and the other 50% is split among the 3 or 4 contributors? That is some kind of a office pool you're trying to get together at the last minute. I would have thought if you planned to charge a premium to the members, you would have come up with a contract and system long before the jackpot got so big. I once participated in a $400 pool in wh

Picking the Powerball number
Quote: Originally posted by hypersoniq on May 02, 2004Does anyone have any ideas on a precise method for picking the powerball number?I'm just out of new ideas... need some fuel...anyone?Okay, this one may sound a bit far-fetched, but it's the method I'm presently working on. I'm not a big believer in past draws indicating what future draws will bring, but my present theory is that all of the numbers drawn conform to a mathematical sequence. I'm working on a (modified) Fibonacci sequence for the

Cash or annuity ?
Quote: Originally posted by plnwebguy on April 21, 2004I thought I'd throw this in because of personal experience - if you're part of a pool buying tickets, such as an office pool, sometimes the choice is made for you. Everyone seems enthralled by the well-publicized annuity amount, so if the pool won (haven't experienced that part yet) everyone else would probably want the annuity amount. plnwebguyi disagree. i've sold tickets to people representing lottery pools, and most of the pools would
