Playing the Extra Dollar on the Jackpot Games
Thought I'd fire this topic up again ... yes, I like the multipliers also ... but when you go through 4 or 5 months of no hits then I begin to wonder if I would have been better off buying an extra ticket. I have been fine tuning my lottery strategy again. I've decided to hold at $100 a month (+ or-) in my lottery spending ... that's $1200 a year plus $40 on two $20 raffle tickets twice a year. However, I have changed my PB and MM playing ... I decided I would drop back from $10 a draw to $5 and

What's with NY Sweet Million??
Thrifty, I looked at your blog several days ago, it's awesome, and it made me feel lucky by reading it!
The SM numbers last night were not the usual number group patterns that come out with 4 numbers in the 20's drawn, I didn't have any winning lines.
Well, on to MM tonight. I'm in a MM pool but want to pick a few lines and use the multiplier, the pooled tickets don't have the multiplier on them.

New Member: Can someone help me with a Lottery Wheel query?
I'm fairly new at this myself and kinda went through the same questions about wheeling. Right now, by just wheeling a bunch of numbers, you are shooting a shotgun into the wind hoping a bird might fly by and get caught by a pellet.
What I did before I dumped too much money on games is bought Gail Howards Lottery Master Guide . She explains how to wheel, as well as how to pick numbers and how to get rid of numbers. I think she recommends wheeling no more than half the pool plus 4 or 5. You ca

The Pot Of Gold Club
Years ago before MegaMillions and PowerBall came to Ohio I got those kinds of letters for six months every time I ordered lottery magazines from Publisher Clearing House. I think they made up mailing lists based on their subscribers interests and sold them. I even got telephone calls from people in Florida and New York asking me to join their lottery pools.
Most of those pool scams probably worked the same way, you sent money regularly, they supposedly picked and played numbers regularly and

Winning at NY Take 5
When Take5 first started in 1992, it was drawn twice per week. At some point prior to 1999, that changed and it was drawn 7 days a week. Also, JP's back then could easily be above $125,000. I doubt we'll see those kind of JP's ever again. If the economy ever recovers, maybe we'll start getting JP's that are close to 100K again. Not too long ago, especially on Fridays, the JP was usually just above 100K. (around $100,000 to $105,000.) Then the economy tanked, and I havent seen a JP that big since

What's with NY Sweet Million??
I would just take the Porsche ride if you offered, you can save the other part for the young chicks, my generation older women (50 something) want money, not men, the younger women have all the energy necessary to take care of you, we just want extra cash to sit around a pool all day and do nothing or go on vacation; no cooking, no cleaning, and no fooling around allowed, it's all too much work! You better watch out, GiveFive, I think the young girls are catching on, because I have had three of

Post your scratch ticket results
I have done a pool 2-3 times but nothing came out of it. Was a nice experience though.
There are people around here who drop as much as $1K + a day on lotto. Im talking $500 for Powerball , $500 for scratchers , $500 for Fantasy 5 all in 1 go.
Either these guys have won big before and are playing with extra funds or they are in a world of debt. I recall seeing a video where a guy spent $600 each day on lotto and his debt after 5 years was $800K and finally he hit FL lotto jackpot and won

Disputed $50M lottery jackpot partially paid out
I have played in pools in the past but I was totally uncomfortable because even going into it I could anticipate problems based on who some of my coworkers were, even though we had the group play form filled out and each person signed their own name etc. And then there were those who opted to not participate and for a couple of them I thought, I bet if we win they will try to challenge it and say they did put money in when they didn't. I doubt I will play in a pool again unless I really feel I c

Breaking the Habit of Second Guessing.
Follow your habits... If your first guess turned out to be correct more than your second guess, then keep the first one...
I once wrote all 49 numbers (classic) on a peice of paper, started marking out the ones i believed wouldnt play that night. For some reason out of 29 numbers 17, 18, 19 were circled on my paper (apposed to X'd out). Those 3 numbers just stood out to me, but i second guessed, figuring since they were back to back they wouldnt play... That nights draw was 12 17 18 19 2
