Overstating the Jackpot
I wonder what rules govern jackpot advertising. Friday's Mega Millions jackpot was $102 million. Now, if it had been advertised at $97 million, maybe sales would've been only enough to give away $97 million, not $102 million. Does a significant factor exist where a lottery can advertise a higher jackpot, and see sales increase because of it? How truthful does the lottery need to be? I guess this would apply most at high level jackpots.

That would virtually guarantee an ever increasing super-sized jackpot that would be highly unlikely to be hit. Certainly that would placate all the giant jackpot fans.JAG,It was just a mildly sarcastic joke when I made the above comments in a

Mega Millions - State Matters
I doubt it. Most states are looking for ways to increase revenues at this point, so it would be highly unlikely they would get rid of a tax. That's the terrible thing about taxes in general: once you start a tax stream, it is almost impossible to get rid of it.After all, look at how hard it was for President Bush to get through his modest tax relief package in the past few years.

I don't think the increase is a big deal. Where's the cutoff point for you? 138m:1? Is there some magical number where above that line you won't play more than $2?Powerball is a game of dreams. It's an excursion from my 8-5 job. I'd rather put down $5 for a $500m fantasy than $5 for a $19m dream that is slightly more probable.

Lotto Creo Professional Software
Hi T1205I can't see how you could set up a software to only hit 4 out of 5. Especially since you don't know the outcome until after the draw. I would like to see an increase in lines in smart numbers from 99 to 200. I think that longer run out might produce that 5 of 5.Libra Dave

Powerball Lottery States Vote to Change Game
I like it. No formula is going to make everyone happy, but this suites me just fine. It will only take two draws to increase the jackpot to 25M. An amount that has only been achieved twice this entire year!

Kentucky Tic Tac Cash
i think it's a pretty nice game. you have several smaller matrices instead of one big matrix. i do think they need to increase the top prize, maybe make it a rolling jackpot.

110 $100,00 WINNERS !!??
It makes me wonder if the quick pick isn't so random after all. Could it be programmed to pick certain numbers more frequently, thereby leaving more numbers unplayed to increase the chances of a jackpot rolling over? Their little scheme didn't work this time. They need to have computer experts take a look at their random number generator.

Even then, it doesn't make a difference. If I feel strongly enough to want to play a straight, then I just increase my bet. Bet a $1 box for instance.
