Just as a proposal, how about a Lotto Survivor game?
If 10% win on day one, 10% will win on day two, but that 10% will only be 1% of the original 100%. Start with 1000 people and you've probably got your winner on day 3. 10,000 means it runs until day 4.
At $1 per ticket the total ticket purchases will be $1.1111111 for every person in the pool, so $1,111 for 1000 people and $11,111 for 10,000. That means prizes of $550 and $5050 with odds of 1 in 1000 and 1 in10,000. Is there anything familair about those numbers?
You could tweak things a b

It is funny that people only get lawyers involved AFTER a big win, but it would seem prudent for those who choose to play the lottery as a group to have a lawyer draft up an air tight agreement and terms of inclusion. I say this because it seems as though the problem that arise stem from when people take time off from work, or have a medical emergency that keeps them out of the office and are not able to contribute their weekly share.
So that is why I am with the first poster to this discuss

What is your lottery goal for 2011?
I'm in Louisiana too and those seem like good goals. I play Easy 5 plus I run a lottery pool of Powerball and Lotto tickets for my coworkers. My wife and I also play Powerball and Lotto for ourselves.
I haven't tried Pick 3 or Pick 4, but would like to. I was thinking of playing them on my birthday later this month. Do you recommend playing a straight, box, straight box, or something else? I'd like to give the game a go.
I'm also looking forward to the millionaire raffle starting in

How do they decide what a games odds should be?
Qp's are done with a random number generator and I don't think the State would go as far as to inform the company that runs it's lottery to either EMIT or ENTER more certain (numbers or combination of numbers) on its QP's based on it believes certain numbers or combinations are in a TREND in order raise the Jackpot levels..(Example.. State X tells company don't sell to many of Qp's with combination ABC because these numbers are in a trend and we need to get this Jackpot up to 50 million. The odd

Whats good or bad about "Qiuck Picks"
I like to pick my own numbers just because it's fun. However, I think I win more on QP's. As a matter of fact, my lottery pool at work won $100 on PB last night. I played $5 on numbers I picked from LP's RNG, and $5 on QP's. One of the QP's was the winner.
I won $100 on P4 in November by playing a number off LP's RNG.
I don't think it matters one way or the other.
