Streak of jackpot winners is bad luck for Powerball lottery sales
The article seems to be saying that ticket sales are down 20%, but at the same time there have been more winners than usual. If that's the case, then it really is luck, so it doesn't follow that they must increase the odds when the amount of winners are against the odds as it is.

Mass Mega$uck$
i do agree that MA needs to add a cash option, but they also need to increase the starting jackpot and annuity period. $400,000 over 20 years is $20,000 a year. now if you win, there's no retiring early. increasing the annuity period will make for a bigger annuitized jackpot.

To INCREASE sales REDUCE the PB Matrix
Sure Powerball should decrease their odds while megamillions should increase it's odds. That way all the whinners would finally have a chance to see what things like sales and high jackpots are important to lotteries. As it is Powerball would be the game to play if I played in the 10-20 million jackpot range since that's where it seems to be staying. Anyways the nearest Powerball state to me is Oregon and they have a 9% state income tax.

What prize is Lottosync aimed at?
ok, I already know it uses a 3 draw history. Question is....is the software aimed at picking only 3 number prizes and has anyone tested it to see if it actually does better than random expectation? I don't have it, so I can't test it myself and I'm not about to spend the money on it if someone else who has it can do the testing. From what I've seen posted about Lottosync's prediction, it pretty much has only got 3 numbers out of 10. Has anyone got 4 out of 10? 5 out of 10? I bet not. Why,

mega millions megaplier
But for an extra buck you can also get another ticket. I would think that would increase your chances even more, especially since most people want to go for the jackpot, not a lower prize. The megaplier only helps if you are already a winner anyway. I think I'd always go for another ticket if I wanted to spend another dollar.

Nebraska man claims $198,000 Pick 5 lottery jackpot
I think Illinois' rolls up til somebody wins, it did when I lived there anyway. Here in Arizona the max is 50,000 up to 10 winners. 11 or more winners have to split a maximum of 500,000.Winners are rare, though there were six of them one night about a week ago.Arizona's making a ton of money on Fantasy Five, they could easily increase the top prize to 100,000 or let it go pari-mutuel (but they won't.)

powerball matrix
Powerball clearly needs to do something - the jackpot rollover amounts are pathetic and the jackpot is being won too often. They need to recruit some more states, like perhaps Florida, and maybe change the matrix to increase those jackpots. They may be in real trouble soon if the changes to Mega Millions with the CA additon take off.
