Suggestions on selecting pairs...
Thanks ALL for the input. SirMetro, that is the method I currently use as well with about the same results...hopefully one day we will be able to increase the odds. I'll post anything that I find. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!!!

Boxing numbers, how is it done?.....
When I go to play at the store I go to I see where people have written down pick 3 and 4 numbers. They do mathmatical functions and calculate a certain number. My friend told me that was called boxing numbers. What are they doing? I had a friend tell me some people know ways to increase their odds on playing the right numbers.

More Powerball States.
Powerball has more than half the states but nowhere near half the country . PB has 27 states, Wash DC, PR and USVI but merely 31% of the US population. MM has only 12 states--now with Ca--but 53% of the population. ( 95.5 m vs 155 m) Another state or two won't make any difference. I'm with the others who want PB to increase the lesser prizes. Also with those favoring the abandonment of annuitized amounts--- and tax free!

powerball and mega millions
I'd go with Mega Millions. Their jackpot seems to increase alot faster than Powerball. Powerball likes to push the fact that they have a multiplier ball. I personally think paying an extra dollar to do PowerPlay is a waste of money, I'd rather have another line of numbers. So basically, both games are the same to me except MM's gets bigger jackpots and thats why i'd chose them.

Californians react to Mega Millions decision
I know the pool I run and I will continue to play no matter what the change is as well. In fact, if the jackpots get over $100 million more frequently, I'll be able to increase the members of the pool. I can't seem to get anyone but the die-hard regulars interested unless the jackpot is 9 figures.

Powerball up only 2 million
I haven't been playing the lottery very long, but regardless...I can't believe that the jackpot is only increasing from 10 to 12 million. 2 million??? Why is this increase so small? Is it always always this small when the jackpot is starting off at 10 million?

why only 10 million
I'm not sure what the average jackpot increase is. It seems to be just a few million when the jackpot is low, and increases as the jackpot increases - especially once the jackpot reaches $100 million.

CALIFORNIA JOINS MEGA MILLIONS
I assume people on here actually want to win a lottery. Why would anyone who hasn't won a jackpot say Mega Millions (or any lottery) should increase already astronomical odds? Do you just want to donate money to the state or 1 or 2 $300 million winners a year? What about your self-interest in actually winning something? At the very least you should demand no changes for 2 years to see how it works out in reality.

powerball & mega millions 5 draws a week
I don't care to play 5 nights a week. We have a little lotto in Illinois that's played 7 nights a week and the pots are always in the $100,000 to $500.00 range. I've played Little Lotto once in 3 or 4 years.I would think playing PB MM 5 nights a week as opposed to 2 nights a week would create smaller jackpots because there would be a 120% chance increase of someone winning the jackpot.
