Why do you play Multi-state lottery?
Yep the fact that Powerball is at a record for number of jackpot winners for a single year justifies me playing at any jackpot level. It makes me feel more like I actually have a shot at winning. Also, yeah, $200,000 is a great second prize, and that stays the same regardless of jackpot level (and actually increases in the event Powerball's jackpot goes more than $25 million over its previous record). Hell, with exception of Hot Lotto, it's more than the other online games in Iowa offer as

Record Jackpots of the World (part II)
Congratulations to CA for having the 184+ million cash value winner in Mega Millions for 11/15. The single cash record holder surpasses Whittaker's record of 170.5 million in cash value.

Record Jackpots of the World (part II)
Looks like the new record is 184.6 in CA. It might be awhile for another new record. Hopefully not 5 1/2 years.

Mega Millions Sets A New Record
Jake, I hope that MM will rol one more time and then one ticket wins the jackpot. I think the North American jackpot record will be shattered on Friday's draw. I'm also happy that MM set a new cash roll record of 182 million for Tuesday 11/15.

Mega Millions Sets A New Record
Jake649, I hope that MM continues to roll. If no MM winner tonight, then MM will set a new roll record. Also, I hope that MM surpasses the highest North American jackpot record of 363 million and/or 19+ rolls.

Caution: Ga. Evening Doubles
Ga. night time is going into uncharted territory as of tonight. That part is hard to explain. Just know this.... The record for a double skip is.... 25 draws at night . Tonight it will be24 draws.... so if it falls tonight the very old record will stand. A lot of pressure about to go somewhere.....and building

Mega Millions lottery jackpot raised to $262 million
I hope that MM surpasses their own North American jackpot record of 363 million. I think it'll take two more rolls to surpass the new record. Based on my analysis, when it hit 258 million on last run, if no one hit, it would have estimated at 315 million. It'll take two rolls to go pass 363+ million.

Mega Millions Out Shining Powerball
Once I wrote MUSL an e-mail suggesting they get rid of the match 5 bonus pool, and they said they have it there because some players play only for a record, and if they hit a record of $700 million (which suggests there is no limit on how high the jackpot can go), they'd miss chances to have records at $400 million, $500 million, etc.
