justin, what you need to do, is go back to basics. giving up will only increase the desireperserverance will help you get back there. don't try to force any other #'s except yourown, stay with them. if you win $100.00 take your initial bet out of that, then bet only30% of what is left, and leave it at that. i know, i've been there and done it!!!

That's the state's estimate, but I have my doubts - it would take an increase from Monday's jackpot of almost $262K to push the pot into rolldown range and they haven't come close to that in any drawing yet (the closest was $207K betwen the 3rd and 4th drawings - I'm still not sure if the potential of a roll down can draw money into this particular draw).

I think the $2 cost is more of a barrier than the lottery might have thought. Another interesting thing is that with a $2 ticket, the lottery has priced themselves out of season ticket sales, so they won't get that revenue that might increase jackpots faster.

Anyone notice?
I posted a note in my Blog yesterday about a big performance increase I made on the main forum pages. For example, the page that comes up when you select Pick 3 from the Forums drop-down menu.The sheer volume of topics in the database was starting to slow things down, so I had to come up with some clever programming tricks to speed things up (without deleting old messages). We now have over 200,000 messages posted in the forums!

PS...although I didn't mention it specifically in my post, LosingJeff is right about Lottery software to include in your inventory.Also 'gift shop' connotes caps, t-shirts mugs etc. If you were going to increase your inventory with other lottery products, the LP lottery 'store' would be a more appealing name for possible customers.

Also CaliDude you might be to increase the straight hits by tracking which number hits in what position and then rearranging those numbers. Haven't tried that yet but it sounds like a good idea.
