The End of MI WinFall.
I think I figured it out. Until WinFall, the odds were abyssmal, seeing you had to match at least 4 numbers (3+Wild in Michigan Millions). And I guess without big rolling jackpots, WinFall just didn't make it, which is too bad because that's the best pick-6, if not the best game, they ever had. Hopefully the revival of Lotto47 will also get winners for 3/6. I just hope we start seeing some revivals in Pennsylvania soon. Those would be great signs Wild Card Lotto is BACK! , Super 7 is BACK! , e

Mass. lottery winners cash in on new prize law
Massachusetts lottery winners are rushing to cash in on a recent change in state law that allows them to negotiate with private companies for a lump-sum buyout of all or a portion of their 20-year income stream.Since November, when the change in the law took effect, nearly 270 lottery winners have made the decision to give up a chunk of their future prize payments in return for a lump sum that can be used for such immediate needs as buying a new house or paying off existing loans and debts. But n

Mega Millions - State Matters
When the jackpots get this high, your take home cash can be affected by $5-10 million depending on in which state you purchase your ticket.I do love USA Mega's Jackpot Analysis! Although you'll certainly have a higher tax liability than 25% if you win the jackpot. You'd probably be paying close to another $7 million in Federal Tax than the amounts below.Mega Millions $120 million for 4/12/05. Cash values:New York: $47,705,000 after taxesNew Jersey: $52,500,000 after taxesThat's a $5 million d

The Pigskin Challenge: 4-9-05
Aye,You have a done a great job as Director of the Pigskin Challenge, thank you.I know what you mean by not having enough time. I seem to miss every other drawing because I just don't have the time to sit down and work through the numbers (especially with MM jackpots). For me it is fun to use my Excel spreadsheets and come up with the numbers I play. If it ever ceased to be fun, I would stop choosing my own numbers.Maybe you just need a break from Powerball. Come back in a few months or a ye

Powerball Lottery States Vote to Change Game
I just can't see changing the matrix. It is difficult enough now to just win $3....much less the BIG ONE!!!! This is all about GREED from the smaller states. When the jackpot is hit(and just by luck) numerous times over the last 3-4 months..states with small populations lose $30-$50 million/month just in lost revenue, only because the jackpots are not escalating to enourmous amounts. I think this change will turn off many players....and like ME, will stick to the smaller payouts, like Pick3 an

Powerball Lottery States Vote to Change Game
Quote: Originally posted by smd173 on April 7, 2005 Quote: Originally posted by JimmySand9 on April 6, 2005 May I also suggest the removal of the Match 5 Bonus Pool which limits jackpot growth to $25,000,000 per draw. Especially now, considering that with PowerPlay multiplier of x5, matching 5 with no Powerball would still net $1,000,000, and that's every draw. But the Match 5 Bonus has never even been reached. Almost made it twice, but it was hit right before it would have went into effect. Alth

winning
I love the basic fact that just because a person has played the lottery for a long time and hasn't won a jackpot, it certainly doesn't mean they won't win one in the future. Not all big jackpot recipients are lottery newbies who just got lucky. I like reading news releases about those people who played for years (like one jackpot winner's example playing for over 17 years) and then when they least expected it ...hit a jackpot, sometimes playing the same old numbers; sometimes not. The more I rea

LOTTO South Jackpot Overlay
At 6/49 odds of 1:13,983,816 , the current LOTTO South jackpot of $14million for Wednesday April 6th is once again an attractive overlay. It's actually more money at far lower odds than the PowerBall game will be offering on the same day!I don't normally put a lot of work or money into this game, but I think I'll have to analyze it a little more closely and hit it a little harder for the upcoming drawing. It's not one of those gigantic jackpots that excite many people, but $14million any kind of
