Probability of a MegaMillions rollover.
The Megamillions has rolled over. The cash value is $107.3M the annuity value is $189M. The cash value is higher than Powerball's and I doubt that Powerball will catch up again in this run. The previous jackpot reached a cash value of $92.9M As before, the lottery continues to rise as if it had skipped a drawing. The jackpot/sales were more consistent with a 12th drawing than a 11th drawing. I will therefore treat this upcoming drawing as a 13th drawing statistically rather than as if

N.C. lottery staff win hefty bonuses
I don't think these people should be awarded bonuses just for doing their jobs. I think that money should have gone to the players in the form of prizes. But I do have a question: Is the $624,000 the advertised annuity value or the cash value of the bonuses awarded to the lottery employees? Jim PS Who cares if lottery employees are prohibited from playing the lottery? They already made more in bonuses than most players will ever see!

Powerball lottery jackpot raised to $117 million
Quote: Originally posted by sirbrad on March 28, 2006 Yes I said this before, false advertising on the lotteries behalf as usual. Many do not realize that $100 million actually means about $30 million after all the taxes, and lump sum payout. I wish they wold actually advertise the REAL amounts for both cash, and annuity options. The lottery gets away with murder, because the shady IRS is in on it all. I TOTALLY Agree!!!! If you take the cash option THEY TAX HALF!!! THEN Turn around and Ta

Lotto South v Lose for Life
Neither for Georgia. Lotto Georgia in its original format 6/46 drawn once a week in Georgia by Glenn Burnes or any of the others who draw Mega Millions. With Lotto Georgia you had a choice of Cash or Annuity.

Florida Lotto jackpot rolls to $10 million
Good luck to you! You have just as good a chance as anyone else. There have been more winners than usual in my county lately. I always wonder if that affects my chances? Maybe it's because 20,000 people just moved here! Oh, another Fantasy 5 expired at midnight (3 hours ago) I mention this all the time, but I guess if Cash Only can be obsessive and mention the annuity payouts at least once a week, I can rant about the all the people who don't claim their prizes, huh? Not that I would get a dim

ONE second prize in Unlucky for Life!
Again, this is a JACKPOT game no one is expected to match 6 of 6 often. I don't see you posting that there were no winners who claimed second prize for powerball last week. And there are MANY more players of the powerball worldwide. You are simply harping on with an ongoing bias against a game just because it is annuity based. Not everyone is 60 plus, and to some annuities are actually appealing. You do not like the game, don't play it. It is as simply as that. But don't expect everyone to c
